"Today we commence with the quarter finals of the 15th annual Kalos Trio Tournament! Our first match will be Ash, Serena & Jason against Steve, Scott and Bruce!" The Announcer stated
"This is it. The quarter finals" Ash said
"And we're going to try our best" Serena added
"Our opponents will be tough ones. They aren't particularly nice either so be careful" Jason replied as they entered the battlefield and saw their opponents
They were older opponents, maybe 5 years older then them. Steve wore a blue shirt that red selves along with blue pants. Scott wore all red and he had a white baseball cap on top while Bruce wore white shorts and a green shirt
"This will be a three on three triple Pokémon battle! Once all three Pokémon from either side of the battlefield are unable to battle, the match will end and the victors will move into the Semi-Finals! Trainers bring out your Pokemon!" The Ref stated
"Go Braixen!" Serena said
"Charizard, I choose you!" Ash added
"Your up Greninja!" Jason finished
"Jason's sent out Greninja early" Clemont pointed out
"He's making a tough bet that Bond Phenomenon will activate" Aria replied
"We can only hope it does" Bonnie said worryingly
"Go Scizor!" Steve said
"Go Blastoise!" Scott shouted
"Go Zoroark!" Bruce finished from their side
"Ah! Zoroark!" Clemont shouted in shock
"It can't be...." Kiawe added, also in shock
"Mega Evolve!" Steve & Scott then said and Scizor & Blastoise Mega Evolved
"It's over" Bonnie sighed
"They're massively over powered" Tierno pointed out
"Maybe if they have a good enough strategy...." Dawn said curiously
"Let the battle begin!" The Ref shouted
*Flashback
"Hey there Serena" young Ash called out
"H-Hey Ash" She replied
"Ready for camp?" Ash asked
"I guess I am. I just hope I don't get lost again" Serena answered quietly
"Don't worry. I know this place like the back of my hand" Ash assured and Serena gave a nervous half smile
"There you two are" Gary said as he approached
"Hey Gary" Ash replied
"Hey Ash. Hey Serena" Gary then said
"Hi" Serena said in response
"Did you guys hear about what happened around this area?" Gary asked
"What happened?" Ash asked back
"Apparently there was a Darkrai floating around causing trouble until a mysterious trainer appeared with a Bisharp only it looked different" Gary explained
