Party three of the book will now commence! This shorter part of the story will focus around a few things:
1) Ash and Serena's relationship progression
2) The death of Calem which also affects Ash and Serena's relationship further
3) Gou and two new characters who will be introduced soon
Also, the characters in the book are no longer 16 and are now on average, 18. Which also means that the book will become a lot more mature going into Part 3, so a big warning going ahead with the story

"But he was still a person!" Serena shouted
"Alright alright, you got me there" Ash sighed in defeat
"I just... I'm sorry. I just don't know how to react" Serena apologized
"It's alright Serena. You lost a long time friend" Ash replied
"Not that it's a first" Serena scoffed
"Come on. I thought we were making progress" Ash complained
"I'm trying! Your the one making this more difficult!" Serena said

"[...] and I want to catch every Pokémon in the Pokédex!" Gou declared and the crowd of students cheered
"That's cute. Now let's see how you can battle" Paul replied as he released his Pokémon
"You might think I prefer quantity over quality, but I'll show you that's far from the truth!" Gou replied
"Ash's friend seemed like a cool guy" Kiawe said
"From what I've seen so far, he is" Dawn replied
"Shame Serena wont introduce you guys" Miette teased
"Shut up Miette" Serena gritted through her teeth "You guys can go walk up and talk to him, because I'm not speaking to Ash"

"Electivire is unable to battle! The winner is Rhyperior! Therefore the victor is Gou!" The Ref said and the crowd cheered
"I told you I would prove you wrong" Gou said
"I guess you did" Paul admitted

*???'s POV
"Hey there. Need help finding your classes?" A familiar girl asked
"Ah! Your Serena!" I replied in shock and she smiled at me
"That's me" She confirmed
"I um, we do need help finding our classes" I said as I pulled my brother next to me
"Well you have first and second with me, so let's go" Serena said and we began to follow her
"So Serena, anything interesting going on around here?" I asked
"Not really. Just school stuff you know" She answered
"Just school stuff? No drama or entering?"
"Nope. No drama" She insisted as we entered a classroom
"Hey Serena!" Another familiar face greeted
"Ash Ketchum?!" My brother asked in shock
"I don't believe it" I added
"Shut up Ash. I told you not to talk to me" Serena said as she walked past him and sat in the back
"The to be Kalos Queen and Champion of Kanto have bad blood?" My brother asked me
"I think it's more complicated then that. I can tell" I answered
"You can tell?"
"Just trust me on this one"
