Damien:

Zöe held the gun to the boy's head with a steady hand. Her jaw was set. And her eyes were filled with such passionate hatred that it scared me. Her eyes were wet, but no more tears fell, as she glared at the boy.

He glared back, his head held high- any hint of remorse or grief gone. The initial shock gone. He didn't really regret what he had done, he looked proud of it.

And that alone made me want to grab the gun off Zöe and shoot him myself. “You're not really going to shoot me.” I inwardly winced, this guy was dumb as well as twisted.

“Don't flatter yourself.” Zöe spat, her voice was quiet- but it was more psychotic anger than calm. “In my entire life I have never hated anyone more than how much I hate you right now. You're sick and twisted and just plain evil. You killed a girl. And not just any girl. The bravest, smartest, most loyal and beautiful girl I have ever known. She was a hero. She had a family and friends who adored and loved her. And you KILLED her.” Her voice was now risen, her face red. “AND YOU DON'T EVEN CARE!”

The boy blinked, there was a moment of silence. And then. “In all fairness, I meant to hit your friend over there.” He gestured to Danny.

Zöe eyes blazed. “STOP IT!” She screamed. “Stop acting like it doesn't matter! Like it was nothing! You deserve to die! You deserve to be punished and tortured! YOU KILLED SELENA!”

She squeezed the gun so hard that her fingers turned white, and she wrapped her finger around the trigger.

Her hand shook with anger and emotion, or was it reluctance and fear?

Was she really going to kill the boy?

Did she want to?

Should I let her?
