Zoë:

Zöe “Aunt Zöe! Aunt Zöe!” Charlie sang, as he hung from my waist.

I sighed and grabbed his arms, whirling him around before placing him on my hip.

It was weird being called ‘aunt’ by someone who was only seven years younger than me, but it was true. I was his aunt. He's my brother's son after all. “Yes Charlie?” I smiled, ruffling his dark black hair, that matched Percy's, and my own.

Charlie looked just like me, and I looked just like Percy. We all shared the same dark thick hair, skinny build, sea-green eyes, side-ways grin and ‘trouble maker look’. “I want to stay here with youuuuu!” He whined, hanging onto me tighter as if to prove his point.

“Yeah, me too!” Chirped another little voice. I looked down to see my niece, Bianca. Who looked the spitting double of her mom- same blonde curly hair, same stormy grey eyes and tanned skin... I scooped up my five year old niece and sat her on my other hip.

“Well I hate to disappoint you, but you can't. You have to go live with your mommy and daddy.” I reasoned, planting a kiss and both of their little noses.

“When can we come and live at Camp Halfblood?” They pressed, in the same whiny voice.

“When you're older.” I laughed. “You'll be here in two years time Charlie!”

It was true, as part of the deal, Zeus had demanded that at the age of 10 both children would have to go to Camp Halfblood to train, and hopefully turn into great heroes, like their mom and dad.

Annabeth walked over and plucked both kids from me.

“Stop agonising your aunt and go help daddy pack!” She said sternly, but not crossly. They giggled and ran off.

I gave her a grateful smile, “Thanks Annabeth.” Then she did something that took me by surprise. She grabbed me, and pulled me in for a tight hug, holding onto me desperately, as if she were reluctant to let go.

“I've never spent even a day without seeing you, for your whole life.” She whispered, tears in her eyes. “Will you be okay without me?”

I took her hand and squeezed it tightly. “I'm a big girl now Annabeth, I'll miss you- of course, but I can take care of myself. Don't worry.”
