The next day
Kristina's POV
The time is now 1:30 pm, and I've been laying in bed awake for hours. But I didn't want to go downstairs because I was afraid Joanna would be mad after yesterday. I kind of regret that I tricked them. Suddenly she came upstairs.
"Are you awake?", she asked.
"Yes, I'm awake", I answered.
"I've made lunch if you want to come downstairs. I know you're upset about yesterday, but I want you to know that I'm not that mad at you anymore", she told me.
"Okay, mom.. I mean-", I started.
"What? You called me mom", she said and smiled.
"No, I'm sorry.. it just came out", I told her.
"Nooo, don't be sorry. It's okay, you can call me mom if you want to", she said.
I didn't answer. I got embarrassed after calling her mom.. But I came downstairs anyway.
After the lunch, I told Dory about the thing I said.
"Oh my god, really", she asked.
"Yeah, I don't know what to do", I answered.
"Maybe we should try to be a family and see how it feels, and then we figure it out later?", Dory suggested.
"Maybe that's a good idea, but I don't know if it will work out.. they killed my parents", I said.
"We should move on", Dory said.
