~Chapter 48~

The next day

Kristina's POV

We woke up around 6:15 am and then we went to school right before 8:00. When we came to school, some people were staring at us. We recognized it yesterday too, but we didn't think that much about it because we thought it was because we were new. Suddenly, a boy came.

"Excuse me, aren't you the girls that was kidnapped a short while ago? I saw it on the news", he told us.

We didn't know what to say.

"Um.. we're not", Dory lied.

"Please tell me the truth if you're the ones who was kidnapped. I'm curious", he said.

"Yes, we are the ones who got kidnapped..", I said nervously.

"Kristina, what are you doing?", Dory whispered.

"You don't want anyone to know?", the boy asked.

"Not really", Dory said.

"Why not?", he asked.

"Because we're still kidnapped.. they escaped from prison and kidnapped us again", I explained.

"Stop, Kristina you're gonna get us killed or something", Dory said as she dragged me to the bathroom.

The boy followed us.

"No no, I'm not gonna tell anyone. I promise, I'm just curious", he said.

"If you do, then we're dead. And so are you", Dory told him.

"I won't tell anyone", he said and walked away.

"Why the hell are you so calm?", Dory asked as we went to the cafeteria.

"He's not gonna tell anyone", I said.

"I don't trust him! Suddenly the whole school get to know it and then the police get to know it and then THEY get to know it! And then we're done", she said.

"Trust him until you figure out that you can't", I told her.

"Then it's too late", she said as she sat down at a table.

Suddenly, we could see him whisper something to a few other boys.

"Kristina.. we're done", she said.

"Dory, you need to calm down", I said.

"I bet you want the police to come", she said as she got up from the chair and walked over to the boys.

"Hey hey hey, secrets are made to keep", she said as she slapped him on the face.

"What the hell are you doing? I was just telling them about my bad grades", he said and laughed.

"Well, that sounds true, so I choose to believe you", she said and walked away.

I followed her.

"Well, you're gonna get us expelled", I told her.

"That's better than being killed", she said.

When the school was out, Alex picked us up. Not far away, the boys were standing talking. I could tell they haven't seen us.

"So I think we should call the police", one of them said. Alex overheard it.

"Wait, what!?", he said.

"Oh fuck", I said.

"You idiot", Dory said to me as she tried to get in the car. But Alex grabbed her hand.

"What the hell have you two been doing?", he asked.

"Nothing", I said.

"You told someone", he said.

We didn't answer. I were just standing there looking down at the ground. Dory were just staring mad at me.

"I need you to tell me everyone you've told it to, and then I can prevent them from telling more people", he said.

We didn't answer. Alex trusted Dory, so he repeated it to her.

"Dory, can you tell me who knows about it?", he asked.

"Well.. we told only one boy and then he told it to.. I don't know how many", she said as she pointed at the boy.

"Ugh.. get in the car both of you, I've got this", he said and walked over to the boys.

Alex's POV

I dragged the boys behind the school and I forced them to talk.

"How many knows about this?", I asked.

"We're the only ones who know about it", one of them said.

And then I picked up my gun and shot them all.

Kristina's POV

Dory and I were waiting in the car when Alex came back.

"What did you do? You didn't kill them, did you?", I asked.

"Of course I did. But you couldn't trust them anymore anyways, so why do you care?",  he asked.

"They tried to protect us..", I answered.

"Please don't tell Joanna", Dory begged.

"I won't.. but you will", he said.

I didn't know what to tell Joanna when we came home.

"I- I might have done something", I started.

"What have you done?", she asked.

"I- I might have told someone.. and then that boy told his friends.. and then Alex shot them..", I explained.

Joanna just sighed.

"Are you gonna kill us?", I asked.

"No, we're not gonna kill you! Just go to your room", she said and rolled her eyes.
