Joanna's POV
The next day, Dory was feeling much better. I asked her and Kristina if they wanted to do online school instead of normal school. They agreed.

I was very curious on how much they wanted to stay here, and how much they felt this was their home. I chose to talk to Kristina in private. She looked happy that day, and I felt the mood wouldn't get bad.

"Tell me.. if you got the opportunity to go back to Norway, would you?", I asked.

Just then, her face turned serious. She didn't answer.

"I need to go to the toilet", she told me.

I grabbed her hand to stop her.

"Kristina.. I will not let you go until you answer my question", I said.

"Why are you doing this? Haven't you tortured anyone in a while so that you need to find a reason to do so? Oh, never mind.. you did it yesterday!", Kristina said and pulled away my hand.

"What did you just say?", I asked.

"Stop give me that serious killer look, it scares me", she said and turned around to go upstairs. But I hit her hard and she fell to the ground. She passed out.

I put her to bed, and I locked the door.

"Okay, will you be next or will you answer my question?", I asked when I met Dory in the living room.

"What's the question?", Dory asked.

"Do you like it here? If you got the opportunity to go back to Hungary, would you?", I asked her.

"Fuck no", I heard her whisper underneath her breath.

"Go on, tell me", I said.

"It's the hardest question I've ever gotten", she explained.

"Well, It's not harder than doing all the house work for a week, so if you don't want that to happen, then I suggest that you tell me what I want to know", I told her.

She started thinking about why to say. She was staring out in the air.

"Shall I count down from 10?", I asked.

"No, no, no! There's no need for that.. I don't think I would, maybe, I don't know! It depends", Dory said.

I didn't know if I should trust her or not, so I grabbed a needle I already had filled up with truth serum, and I stabbed her with it.

"Did you just tell me the truth, or were you lying?", I asked.

"I told you the truth", she said.

"Good.. at least one of you is interested in cooperating!", I said.

When Kristina woke up after I hit her in the head, I took a pocket knife and a needle with truth serum up from my pocket.

"Now, are you ready to talk?", I asked.

"What the hell? I wouldn't leave", she said.

"I don't believe you! So unless you want me to drug you down and force you to tell me all your deepest, darkest secrets, I suggest you tell me the truth", I told her.

"I promise", she said.

"Well, I'm gonna find out if you're telling the truth. And if I find out you're lying, well.. let's just say that you won't be having any secrets that much longer", I warned her.

"Don't move", I said as I grabbed her hand to stab her with the needle.

"No, please!", she said.

"Oh, so you are hiding something?" I asked.

"No, I'm just afraid it will hurt", she said.

"Come on, it's just a needle! Don't be such a baby or I'll give you something to really cry about", I said as I pulled up her sleeve.

"If you move, I might miss, and then I'm gonna have to do it one more time", I said.

She sat down and tried to calm down. I stabbed her with the syringe, and then I asked her if she was telling the truth.

"No, I wasn't", she said.

"What!? Enough is enough", I said as I grabbed her hands and tied them tight together on her back.

"Sit down and don't move a muscle, or I'm gonna have to tie you to a chair", I said as I took up the knife.

Suddenly, Alex came in.

"Joanna wait! You have mixed the wrong serum", he told me.

"What?", I said.

"You put opposite serum in the syringe. Now she only tells you the opposite of what she mean to say", he explained.

"Really? How do you know that?", I asked him.

He showed me an empty bottle of opposite serum I just thew in the trash.

"You got to be kidding me.. so you weren't lying?", I asked Kristina.

"I was lying", she said.

"Haha, the opposite serum, kid.. you weren't lying", I said.

"But I feel there's something you are hiding.. so tell me.. what are you not telling me?", I asked as I grabbed the knife and held it to her throat.

"Joanna, she can't tell you.. the serum is in her system", Alex said.

"Fine.. we're gonna have to wait then", I said as I cut the rope around her hands.

The next day, the serum was out of her system.

"Honey.. please tell me what you're not telling me", I said.

"Fine.. I don't know if I would leave or not.. actually I don't think I would leave and go back to Norway because my parents wouldn't be there", she told me.

"But the rest of your family's there", I said.

"But it's not the same without them.. I think it's best that I stay here", she explained.

"I'm glad you don't want to go back, because.. you never will", I said and walked away.

Author's note
Thank you for reading this chapter, I hope you liked it! I kind of regret that I used some real people in the story, because it kind of gets a little awkward to know that I'm in the story🤡 But whatever, I hope it's entertaining😅🤍
