~Chapter 19~

The next day

Kristina's POV
It's the next day, I just woke up and ate breakfast.

"Who was that guy you met yesterday?" Joanna asked.

"His name is Lucas, I don't know his last name", I answered.

"Do you like him?", Joanna asked.

"Nooo, it's not like that", I answered.

"You're blushing", Joanna said and laughed.

"Stop..", I said and walked away.

Joanna followed me and asked me plenty of questions.

"How's his personality?", she asked as she followed me around the house.

"He's very kind, funny and he loves music", I answered.

"Was he the one who drove you home last night?", she then asked.

"Yeah, why?", I asked and rolled my eyes.

"You didn't tell him anything, did you?", she asked.

"No, then you would been in jail by now", I answered.

"You should invite him for dinner tonight, we would love to meet him", she answered and winked.

"No way, I don't think that's a good idea", I answered.

"Do it", she said.

"Fine..", I said and went to text him.

I texted him, and waited for him to respond.
I was very nervous for his respond, and I bit my nails all the time. I waited for about 7 minutes, and then he finally answered.

"Sounds fun, I'll be there", he responded.

I smiled and went to tell Joanna.

Later that day

The time is now 6:30 pm, and I can hear him come. I'm so nervous. I do not hope Alex and Joanna will embarrass me. I went to open the door.

"Hey, thanks for inviting me over", he said when I opened the door.

"Hi, come in", I said.

Then Alex and Joanna came to introduce themselves.

"Hi, I'm Joanna and this is my husband Alex Murphy", she said and greeted him.

"Nice to meet you both. Are you Kristina's sister?", he asked.

"Hehe, no I'm her mother", she lied to him.

Then Dory came to Introduce herself.

"Hi, I'm Dory", she said.

"I'm Lucas, nice to meet you", he answered and smiled.

The dinner wasn't ready before 8:00. So me, Dory and Lucas went upstairs.

"Can I just say something without you being embarrassed?", he asked.

"I'll try", I answered and laughed.

"How can your parents look so good?", he said and laughed.

Then I chose to tell him to secret I knew I shouldn't tell anybody.

"Well, there's something you should know", I answered.

"What?", he asked.

"They're......not my parents", I said carefully.

"Kristina..don't tell him", Dory whispered.

"Please don't tell anybody about this.. I'm telling you this because I trust you. Dory and I were usually just two internet best friends, that lived in two different countries. Then we decided to meet up, and we went on a vacation together with my parents to New York City. Then we found Joanna, and she told us that she had kidnapped my parents and that she would kill them if we didn't find a man that have stolen 100 000 $ from her. We refused to find the guy. Then Alex wanted to let them go, but they grabbed a knife and tried to stab him so he shot them both in self defense. Then they kidnapped us just to avoid us from telling anyone", I explained to Lucas.

"Omg, really? Is that why you didn't want to go to that party with me at the first place?", he asked.

"Yeah, it is. They need to know when I'll be home, so that they know I'm not running away", I answered.

Then we went to eat dinner. Lucas were looking a little nervous because of what I told him.

"Are you okay?", Joanna asked him.

"Yeah, I am", he answered.

"Kristina, can I talk to you for a second?", she asked.

"Yeah", I answered and followed her into the hallway.

"Have you told him?", she asked.

"No, of course not", I answered and bit my nails.

"You're lying. You're biting your nails when your nervous", she said.

"I'm not lying", I answered and tried to go back to the dining room. But Joanna grabbed my hand.

"Tell me the truth. Have you told him?", she repeated.

I didn't know what to say. If I continued to lie, it would only get worse. I were just standing there saying nothing.

"You told him, didn't you?", she asked.

"I'm sorry, I just felt so lonely and thought it would be better for both me and Dory if someone else knew about it", I explained.

Everyone else overheard the conversation, and Lucas tried to run. But Alex held him back.

"Please, I'm not gonna tell anyone I swear", he begged.

"We don't trust you", Alex said and took up his gun.

"This is all your fault", Lucas said and pointed at me.

"How?", I asked.

"You shouldn't have told me! Now they're gonna kill me!", he yelled.

"You're right about that. It is Kristina's fault. Sorry for the guilt you soon Will Get", Alex said and shot him.

"What?! You killed him!! Are you insane?", I shouted.

"Your fault", Joanna answered.

Dory were just sitting there, speechless.

"You haven't told someone else, have you?", she asked.

"No, I haven't", I answered.

"Good. Now maybe you'll think twice before you tell anyone", she said.

"Will you help us get rid of the body?", Alex asked.

"Um.. no way.. I don't wanna get blamed for being involved in this shit", I said and went upstairs.

Dory and I went to the bedroom, talking about the thing that happened. After a few hours, we fell asleep.
