~Chapter 29~

The next day

Kristina's POV
It's the next day, and I just woke up. I got waken up by Dory at 10:15 am.

"You saved my life", Dory said when I opened my eyes.

"No, I didn't. I'm sure they wouldn't kill you, they just threatened me", I answered and went downstairs.

Dory followed me, she noticed I acted strange.

"Are you okay?", she asked.

"Not exactly.. I'm a murderer", I said.

"It wasn't your fault, you were just trying to protect me", Dory explained.

While we ate breakfast, I was just sitting there looking down at the table. I were thinking about the poor girl's dead body.

"I think she's traumatized", Alex said and laughed.

"She'll be fine.. but it may take some time", Joanna said.

"Do you want me to call a therapist or something?", Alex joked. But I couldn't hear him, I were in my own thoughts.

"Hello? Did you hear what I just said?", he continued.

"No, I didn't", I answered.

"I asked if you wanted me to call a therapist", he explained.

"Of course not, I'm not gonna let anyone know I killed someone..", I answered.

"It was a joke, but it would be a good idea. If we forced the therapist to not tell anyone else", he said.

"You're insane", I said and went upstairs.

Joanna's POV
I just looked annoyed at Alex.

"What? Did I say something wrong?", he asked if he didn't understand a thing.

I just rolled my eyes and went upstairs.

"Are you okay?", I asked Kristina when I entered the room. She didn't answer.

"I know your upset about yesterday, but you won't become happy if you don't try", I explained.

Kristina just stared down at the floor, and then she bursted in tears.

"I'm a murderer", she shouted.

I tried to find something to say.

"Hey, you just tried to protect Dory, you're not a bad person", I told her.

"What do we do? The police will investigate the disappearance. What if we get caught?", she said and bit her nails.

"Calm down, they won't find out. Remember that we burned the body", I explained.

"You said that last time too.. and then they found out", Kristina said and rolled her eyes.

"It's gonna be okay, I promise", I said and went downstairs.
