Kristina's POV
The next day, we grilled spareribs, hamburgers and barbecue skewers. Not gonna lie, it was a little hot to look at Alex roasting stuff in a summer shorts. I wonder how it was for Dory who got laid with him. And how it is for Joanna probably like.. every night. Later that day, Alex and Joanna told Dory and me that they wanted to talk to us.

"Have we done something wrong?", I asked.

"No, honey.. you haven't", Joanna said.

"What is it then?", Dory asked.

"I think we have decided that we wanted to adopt a child from an orphanage. But we wanted to hear what you had to say", Joanna said.

"Adopt a child?", I asked.

"That's right. What do you think about that?", she asked.

"I don't know.. are you sure you can handle being a mother for a little child?", I asked.

"I don't know, I'm a little nervous", she told me.

"I'm sure you will be fine, just don't abuse it, don't lock it up, and don't kill anyone in front of it", Dory said.

"Will you be fine with it? Us adopting a child?", Alex asked.

"Sure", Dory said.

"I guess", I said.

"Can I talk to you alone?", Joanna asked me.

"Hey, I need you to be honest with me. I don't want to adopt a child if that means that your life will be worse then it already is, because now I'm doing my best to make it better, that's why we want to adopt a child. We want to start a family", she told me.

"I think it's a good idea, but don't do it for me. Do it for yourselves", I said.

Joanna hugged me.

The next day, we went to the orphanage to see if we were able to connect with some of the children. Alex and Joanna were in an office talking to someone who was working there. Dory and I were sitting on a bench right outside. Dory went to the toilet and I was sitting there all alone. Suddenly, I little girl came and sat next to me.

"Hi, my name is Sophia", she said with the sweetest voice.

"Hey, I'm Kristina", I smiled.

She started talking about the orphanage, and how she ended up there. She told me that her parents left her when she was about 2 years old. She was five at that time she was talking to me.

"I'm so sorry, do you have a lot of friends?", I asked her.

"I have two, but they're always mean to me", she told me.

We were talking for a while, and then Dory came back. She introduced herself to Sophia. Sophia needed to go, because she was going to eat lunch. When Alex and Joanna came out of the office, I told them about her. We all talked to the woman who worked there, and she gave us all the information about the girl. We got to know that she was sweet and kind, but a little lonely. We decided to adopt her, and we made a promise to her that she would never have to be lonely again.
