Kristina's POV
I wrote a speech for Ava's funeral. The funeral was horrible. While I was having the speech, I broke down in tears. I almost couldn't speak because it was so heartbreaking. We got so close so fast. I walked out of the church, because I almost couldn't breathe. Joanna followed me."Wait, you can't just leave the funeral", she said.
"Oh I will", I said as I tried to wipe away my tears.
"Honey, you need to calm down", Joanna said as she tried to hug me.
"No, don't touch me!", I yelled as I pushed her away.
"Kristina, calm down! I will help you", she said.
"Stay away from me!!", I yelled as I ran out.
But Joanna managed to jump on me and I fell. She pulled me close to her and didn't let me go.
"It's okay", she comforted me.
Joanna's POV
That night, I caught Kristina trying to commit suicide. She stood in the kitchen holding a knife to her stomach."No!!", I yelled as I ran over to her. But it was too late. She had stabbed herself in the stomach.
She fell to the floor.
"Alex!!", I yelled as I caught Kristina.
He came into the kitchen in panic.
"Call 911!", I yelled.
I tried to stop the bleeding, but that was hard. The ambulance came, and picked her up.
"Joanna.. please stay with me", Kristina whispered.
"Okay, I'll stay with you. I'm not gonna leave you", I said as I held her hand.
Kristina survived the stabbing.
"Kristina, we need to talk", I said the next day before we went home.
"About what?", she asked.
"I think we should get you help.. you just tried to kill yourself", I said.
"What? Are you trying to say that you are putting me on a mental hospital?", she asked.
"I don't know, but we really should get you help. Help I can't give you", I told her.
"Please don't put me on a mental hospital.. I'm begging you", she said.
It was hard for me to choose what felt right. I didn't want to make her upset, but I also wanted to uhh get her help.
"I will let you stay home.. for now.. but then you have to go therapy for at least one time every week.. and maybe I'm gonna have to lock your bedroom door at night", I told her.
"I'll do anything, just don't put me on a mental hospital", Kristina said as she hugged me.
"I love you", she whispered.
I got emotional.
"I love you too", I said as I kissed her forehead.
