~Chapter 21~

The next day

Kristina's POV
It's the next day, and the time is 3:40 pm. Dory and I have gotten a better relationship with Alex and Joanna again. We're always arguing, but luckily we get along quickly.

I'm bored, I want to go outside, but I bet they will refuse to let me go. Suddenly, Joanna came to me and asked me if I wanted to go with her to that place we went to earlier.

"Yeah, sure", I answered.

We went to the place we have been earlier, and when we came there, we sat down and talked for a while.

"Joanna, can you please be honest with me?", I asked her.

"I will", She answered and smiled.

"Would you kill me if I did something I weren't supposed to do?", I asked. I got nervous when I waited for her to answer.

"Well, I don't know. It depends. But I guess I would never kill you no matter what", she answered.

I got shocked.

"Are you sure?", I asked.

"Yes, I care about you too much. I just keep giving you warnings all the time, but I never mean the things that I say", she explained.

"What if I called the police?", I asked.

"Do you want me to be honest", she asked.

"I do", I answered.

"I would have killed the cops, taken your phone and I would never let you leave the house again. But I would never kill you", she explained.

I didn't answer. I just looked at the ocean and the sun.

"You're not gonna call the cops, are you?", she asked.

"No, I'm not", I answered and smiled.

"Tell me why", she demanded.

"I never thought I would say this, but.. I love you", I said.

Joanna looked shocked. She didn't even say anything for about ten seconds.

"Wait, what? Are you serious?", she asked shocked.

"Yes, I'm serious. Alex are the one who killed my parents, and it was even self defense. And you only kidnapped us to avoid us from telling anyone. I understand your decision. And trust me, you may believe you're a monster but you're not. You have a good heart. You have been so supportive over me, and I can see that you know you've made a mistake", I explained.

Joanna didn't answer. She just hugged me.

When we got home, Alex and Dory were playing board games and having fun. It was good to see that Dory were happy. The rest of the day we ate dinner, watched a movie and then we fell asleep.
