Dory's POV
I could see the look on my mom's face when she and Alex got arrested. Janice was crying. We could tell she knew something wasn't like it should. Kristina and I comforted her. ''Sh sh sh, it's going to be okay, baby. Mommy and daddy will be back'', I said. They always did. But this time, it felt like they never were.

Kristina just stared out in the air. ''Are you alright?'', I asked her. ''Yeah, I'm fine'', I could tell she forced a smile. ''Do you know how they found out about them?'', I asked. ''No, I have no idea how they found out'', she said and walked away. I followed her. ''But there must be a reason. The New York Police Department must have told the LAPD about it. And through Alex, since he got a job there. ''If you really want to know, I did it! Okay? I've been cooperating with the police and with Emma'', she told me. I didn't understand what she was talking about. ''What do you mean, cooperating with the police and Emma?'', I then asked. ''Emma is giving the police information about this family, and I'm in on it. She gave me a voice recorder for me to record my conversations with Alex and Joanna, and that's how they know. That's how they got the evidence they needed'', she explained.

''Why in the world would you help our enemies? Why would you help getting my mom, Janice's mom and dad, in prison? She's just a baby, she shouldn't be an orphan before even getting to know her parents. How could you do this!?'', I yelled with tears in my eyes. ''I'm sorry, I didn't think. I just felt it was the right thing to do'', Kris cried. ''No, it's not the right thing to do. You have no idea the damage you've caused'', I told her. I went to get Janice's jacket, shoes, and a hat. ''Where are you going?'', Kristina asked. ''We're going to see Alex and Joanna in prison'', I wiped my tears. ''Please don't tell them what I did'', she begged. ''I won't, but you will eventually'', I said.

Janice and I went to meet Alex and Joanna. They deserved to see Janice. We got a little time with them, and it was heartbreaking to see how much Janice wanted to be with them. ''Hi, sweetheart. Don't worry, mommy will come back home soon'', Joanna told her. The judge in the later trial decided that they had one chance to be better in prison, and if they got better within three years, then the bail would be set at 100 000, each. ''Three years!? Janice is going to a child without a mother and a father for three years?'', I asked. ''Unfortunately. And I wish I could make all of them suffer for doing that to her. And to us'', Alex said. ''I will make sure of that'', I said and walked away. ''Wait'', Joanna said. I turned around. ''Don't do anything stupid. Don't do the same mistake as we did. She's gonna need her big sister. Take care of her for us, we will be back. You have our word on that'', she said and smiled softly. ''I won't let anything happen to her'', I said and disappeared out the door.
