Kristina's POV
The next day, I was feeling much better. When I came downstairs, Joanna told me that she had called Alaric Smith and demanded him to tell the Police that we had left the city.

"Are you sure he will?", I asked.

"I am.. if he doesn't, then it's his problem", Joanna said with a grin.

"You understand that it's not only his problem? If a swat team is being involved, then it's over", I told her.

"He'd be dead before a swat team has come half the way to our house", she said.

"And so do you", I said.

Joanna's POV
Kristina's right. I think I need to call him.

"Hey Alaric, I can trust you right? Because you better not tell the other cops what is going on", I said.

"I won't, I'll do anything.. just please don't kill me", he said.

"I won't.. but then you're gonna have to follow my instructions exactly, you understand?", I demanded.

"I do.. just tell me what you want me to do", he said nervously.

"Meet me on Starbucks in 20 minutes, and I'll tell you", I said and hung up.

I went to get my jacket, and then I went to Starbucks to talk to Alaric.

"You're here.. good", I said as I gave him a needle and drugs.

"What is this?", he asked.

"Put this into your colleagues coffee, water or whatever, and they will fall asleep for eight hours or more", I said.

"I'm gonna get in trouble for this", he said.

"Do it before I find your family and murder them all", I said seriously.

A random cop's POV
I was gonna get a cop of coffee at Starbucks in my free time, and then I overheard a conversation between a colleague of mine and Joanna Murphy. Joanna Murphy was arrested a few months ago, but she escaped. It looks like she and her husband is using a cop to protect their criminality. I needed to tell the others. I went back to the station where I saw the other cops where planning to get a swat team to take them in. I were just standing there saying nothing.

"Why are you so quiet?", one of them asked me.

"I- I need to tell you something", I started.

"What is it?", my colleague asked.

"Alaric Smith is working for them.. Alaric Smith is working for Alex and Joanna Murphy", I told them.

"What do you mean he's working for them?", he asked.

"I caught Joanna talking to him at Starbucks. She threatened him.. she threatened to kill his family", I explained.

"You know we need proof that he's involved", another investigator said.

"I have proof.. I filmed it", I said as I handed them my phone.

"Holy shit.. we need to take him to court", a cop said.

"No, please.. they're gonna come for me for telling you", I said.

"It's gonna be okay, we're gonna take them in", they said.

"Please don't fail", I said.

"We won't", the investigator said as he patted my shoulder.

Suddenly, Alaric came back.

"Alaric Smith, we're sorry to have to take you to court for being involved in a crime", one of the cops said when he came into the station.

"Wait, what? What are you talking about? You have no proof", he said.

"Oh yes, we have", I said as I showed him my phone.

When they took him to custody, I found Joanna's number on Alaric's phone and I called her just to hopefully survive. Then maybe she gets my trust.

"This is detective Ryan Lopez, I caught you threatening my colleague, Alaric Smith, and I'm here to tell you that you need to run unless you want to be killed or arrested again", I said.

"Where's Alaric?", Joanna asked.

"He's taken to custody.. please don't kill me, it was my duty to tell the police", I explained.

"Calm down, just shut up, you're talking too much", she said. She was quiet for about five seconds, and then she broke the silence.

"Help him escape, and I'll let you live", she said and hung up.
