~Chapter 39~

The next day

Kristina's POV

I woke up around 7:30 in the morning. I were laying in bed until 9:00, and then I went downstairs.

"Good morning", Joanna said when I came downstairs. I didn't answer.

I was quiet for a while, and when we were eating breakfast I was just sitting there looking down at the table.

"Why aren't you eating?", Alex asked.

"I'm not hungry", I answered.

"Are you mad?", Joanna asked.

"You drugged me.. you're lucky I'm not calling the police", answered.

"You're not so innocent you either, you know..", she told me.

Joanna was right. I totally forgot that I've killed someone.

"That wasn't my fault! You threatened me! You were gonna kill Dory if I didn't", I explained.

"Well, you better not call the police. Remember that Alex and I are not the only ones with blood on our hands", she said.

"Wait... that was why you forced me to kill that girl, wasn't it? You wanted to keep out of jail", I said.

"Well of course! If you tell on us, then we will tell on you", she threatened me.

I ran upstairs and started crying. I was so furious and broken at the same time. Now I couldn't tell anyone without getting trouble myself. Dory came in.

"I'm really sorry about yesterday, I was just so pissed", she told me.

"It's okay.. I really thought you became like them.. I was afraid to lose you", I explained.

"That was the reason I went bowling.. I knew you would run away and then I had the opportunity to get back at you", she told me.

I didn't answer. I wiped my tears and locked myself into the bathroom. Suddenly, Joanna came and knocked on the door.

"Honey, can you please open the door and talk to me?", she asked.

I knew I would get in trouble if I didn't, so I opened the door.

"I'm really sorry", she said as she hugged me.
