The Life Changing Vacation

~Chapter 2~

Kristina's POV
After we ordered our food, we sat down at a table next to a window. We were eating and having fun. The woman were sitting on a table not far from ours, and she was staring at us all the time. Suddenly, she picked up her phone, went to a corner in the restaurant and called someone.

"Do you hear what she's talking about?", Dory asked.

"No, I don't. But I'll try to listen", I answered.

The woman looked at us sometimes while she was talking in the phone.

"Wait, I think I hear what she's saying", I told Dory.

"What is she saying", she asked.

"Omg.. I can't hear what exactly she's saying, but I heard her say something about two girls", I bit my nails of nervousness.

"Um.. that's creepy" Dory said while she took a sip of her milkshake.

"We need to get out of here, I don't think it's safe to stay here any longer" I said.

"Okay, we should call your mom", Dory answered.

I called my mom, and then we went outside of McDonald's, hoping my parents would come soon. While we were standing outside of McDonald's, the woman came out, and walked away. It looked like she was in a hurry.

It's been 30 minutes since we called my mom, and they're still not here. I should call my mom, hoping that she will answer.

"She's not answering", I said.

"Then you should try to call your dad", Dory said.

I called my dad, but he didn't answer either. We got worried. We went to the toilet in McDonald's, just to think Of what we should do.

"Should we call the police?", Dory asked.

"I don't think we should do that yet, maybe they'll call us back", I said. I started crying

Then we heard someone knock on the door.

"Hello? You okay in there?" A sweet voice said from the other side of the door.

Dory opened the door. I got scared for a second. It was the same woman we saw earlier.

"Hi, My name is Joanna, I'm sorry if I'm interrupting something, but I heard you crying", she pointed at me.

"Oh yeah, I'm worried about my parents. They were gonna pick us up but they didn't. By the way, I'm Kristina and this is my friend Dory, I told the woman.

Joanna looked at us, locked the door and tried to prevent us from escaping.

"Well, I'm gonna help you.....if you help me", Joanna said.

"Wh-what do you want us to do?" Dory asked.

"A guy stole 100 000 dollars from me, I want you to find him. If you do, then I'll spare your parents", she said.

"Wait, what? You took her pa-?", Dory asked.

"Do we have a deal?", Joanna interrupted Dory.
