Joanna's POV
The next morning, I woke up to Alex yelling.

"What the fuck is wrong with you!? What is it?", I asked.

"NYPD want me down to the station, they want to discuss if I'm gonna be captain! They think I'm gonna handle it good since I know really much about criminals and where to find them. I know how they think, what they do. And if I'm becoming a captain, then I'm hiring you. Do you want that? Do you want to be a detective?", he asked me.

"They want you to be a captain? But they know you're a psychopath", I explained.

"They're using me to detect criminals and get information, do you want to help me if I get the job?", he asked.

"Sure, I'd love to", I told him.

"I thought maybe you could be the person who's most in the interrogation room. You can see through people, you can understand them, you can read their body language easily. You got this", he said.

"Good luck in the meeting", I said and kissed him.

I went downstairs around 8:00 am, and made myself some coffee and breakfast. Around 9:00, Dory came downstairs, and around 9:30, Kristina came downstairs. I told them about the phone call from NYPD, they got very curious and wondered if he got the job. We waited for hours for him to come home. What if he didn't get the job because of his crimes.
I realized I needed to go there and make sure he got the job. I went into the police station, but I needed a keycard to go into the meeting room.

"Hand over your keycard", I aimed the gun at a random cop.

The cop knew who I was and handed me the card. I went into the meeting room.

"You better give him the job", I said when I came in.

"Hey, you can't be here", one of the cops said.

"I don't care, you're gonna give him the job", I said.

"Joanna, don't ruin it", Alex said.

"He's right, he already got the job as the captain", another cop said.

"He did?", I asked.

"Yeah, everyone give an applause to our newest captain, Alex Murphy", the cop got up from the chair.

"And.. let's welcome our newest member, detective Joanna Murphy", Alex smiled.

"What? Her? Is that a good idea?", one of them asked.

"Is it a problem?", Alex asked.

"No, of course not", the cop said.

"Good, then everybody, give a warm welcome for our newest member", he Alex got up from his chair and clapped.

The rest of the day, we decided to celebrate with a nice dinner, and a movie at the end of the day. Dory and Kristina didn't know if they should be happy or not after Alex became captain and I became a detective. That week at work, we recognized a man that seemed really jealous at Alex for his captain status. Detective Alan Jackson. He acted really disobedient towards him, and sometimes we even overheard him talking shit about him.

One day, detective Alan Jackson talked to the other cops about how bad idea it is to give a psychopath the captain status.

"He's a criminal! A murderer! A kidnapper! You can't give him the captain status, he's supposed to be in prison", he told them.

After so much hate he put on Alex, enough was enough.

"Detective Alan Jackson, Captain Alex Murphy want to see you in his office.. now!", I one day told him.

"Why?", he asked.

"That doesn't matter, he want to see you", I said.

Alex's POV
Detective Alan Jackson looked nervous when he came into my office.

"Do you have any idea why you're here?", I asked.

"I'm not sure", he answered worried.

"Hehe.. yeah right.. I brought you here to talk about your behavior when you're at work. You talk bad about me to your co-workers, you don't always do as your told, doesn't attend meetings", I explained.

"I'm sorry, I just feel that it's not a good idea to give the captain status to a criminal. A man who have murdered so many people in his life", he told me.

"I understand, but this is unacceptable. I am thinking a lot about my actions, I'm a hardworking cop, I'm a good father most of the times, and I do not murder anyone innocent.. or maybe some, but now we're talking about my positive things", I said.

"I thought we were here to talk about me. I'm a good cop, I can do my things, I really hope you didn't bring me here to fire me", he explained.

"I'm afraid I am", I told him.

"What? I'm gonna end up on the streets or a one bedroom apartment! What do you suggest I tell my children? My wife?", he asked.

"I'm gonna need your keycard", I said.

"This is not over", he said as he handed over his keycard.

He burst right of the room, and slammed the door.

Joanna's POV
Alan looked pissed walking out of the room.

"Good work", I said when Alex came.

I kissed him. When we came home, we ate dinner and then the night came. Alex and I had a good time in the bed.

Kristina's POV
I laid in bed, trying to sleep. But I couldn't. Too much sounds from the other bedroom.

Dory's POV
"Alex! Joanna! Turn down the volume, please!", I yelled.
