The next day
Dory's POV
I woke up around 9:00 am, and I went downstairs.
"Good morning, honey", Joanna said when I came downstairs.
"Good morning, mom", I said.
"Kristina didn't lie yesterday when she told us that she liked being here?", she asked.
"She told me that it was true, but I don't know if she was telling the truth or not", I explained.
As we were talking, Kristina came downstairs. She smiled when she came into to the living room.
"Good morning, mom", she said and hugged Joanna.
"Good morning", she said and looked shocked at me.
"I can see you're smiling", I told her and laughed.
"Why?", Joanna asked.
"Do I need an excuse to be happy?", Kristina asked and walked away.
"What's going on?", Joanna asked me when Kristina went to talk to Alex.
"I have no idea", I told her.
"If that's how she look at us now, then we shouldn't change that", she said and went to the grocery store.
I could see how much fun Kristina had with Alex when Joanna was gone. Suddenly Alex came to me.
"I hope you're not messing with us", he said.
"What do you mean?", I asked.
"Just look at her. She switched from hating us to loving us", he explained.
"She never really hated you, maybe a little sometimes", I told him and laughed.
Suddenly, Joanna came home.
"I've bought spare ribs and some other things", she said when she came into the house.
"Yesss, my new favorite meal", Kristina answered.
"I thought you didn't like eating spare ribs because of bad memories", Joanna said.
"Who cares", was all Kristina said.
Joanna wanted to talk to me alone.
"I'm becoming worried", she told me.
"What? Why?", I asked.
"Look at her, she's so happy and it's creeping me out", she explained.
"I'm not blaming her, I love being here too", I told her.
"But she's so different.. if you two have planned this, then I need you to be honest with me. I won't be mad if you tell me the truth right away when you have the chance", she said.
"I promise, I don't know anything.. and that's creeping me out too", i explained.
We ate dinner, and then we went to bed around 12:15 am.
