Joanna's POV
The next day, we went to pick up Kristina at the hospital. When we came to the hospital, it looked like Kristina didn't know if she was supposed to be happy that she survived or mad because I almost killed her. The doctors told us that she had to be very careful in the nearest future, because her nose was broken again, and her hand and neck almost broke too. They said that it was a miracle that she didn't break anymore bones than her nose.
No one said a word in the car. Alex was just looking at the road while driving, Kristina and I looked out through the window, and Dory was using her phone. When we came home, Kristina walked right up to her room. Dory laid down on the couch. I sighed.

"What's the matter?", Alex asked me.

"I think Kristina is upset after what I did to her", I explained.

"I understand, she probably is. Just give her some time. Maybe go talk to her", he suggested.

"Yeah, maybe I should", I said as I walked upstairs.

I knocked on her bedroom door.

"Kristina? Honey? May I come in?", I asked.

"Rather not", she answered.

I grabbed the doorknob. The door was locked.

"Kristina, open the door", I demanded.

"Or what? You'll beat me up again?", she asked.

"Don't use that against me. I'm sorry and you know it", I said.

I heard her crying a little.

"Hey, don't cry. Open the door and let me in", I said.

"I wanna be alone", she said.

"That's not true.. it's your fear to be left alone.. let me in and talk to me", I said.

"Talk to you? I almost died! And it's your fault!", she cried.

"I know, I just want to show you that I'm sorry, and that I know it was horrible of me", I told her.

Suddenly, I heard Alex shout that Ryan was here. He wanted to see how Kristina was doing.

"Kristina, it would be rude not to thank him", I explained.

"Fine", she said and opened the door.

When she was leaving her room, I grabbed her hand and walked back into the room with her.

"Really? I thought you wanted me to thank Ryan", she said.

"Not before you and I have had a little chat", I said.

She looked annoyed at me.

"Kristina, I'm sorry", I told her.

"No, you're not sorry! You're trying to manipulate Dory and me to thinking that you love us! So that we won't snitch on you! Well, it's working. Maybe I know you're lying, but at the same time I won't snitch because then I know you're gonna murder me!", Kristina explained.

"Murder you!? What the hell? I love you both whether you believe it or not. Maybe in the beginning, I wanted to manipulate you to not tell the police. But now? No! You're talking nonsense!", I said.

"Do you really think I would have paid 200 000 $ to save your life if I didn't love you? To get Ryan to pay 100 000? Do you have any idea how much that is? Let me be honest, you're a little ungrateful. It really breaks me that you're standing here arguing, and telling me that I am manipulating you when I saved your life for 300 000 dollars", I explained.

"You're right, it was mean of me. And I'm sorry. I'm not myself right now.. I need some time alone", Kristina told me.

"Or maybe I should thank Ryan first", she said as she was gonna go out of her room, but I stopped her.
