~Chaptef 138~

Joanna's POV
Alex, Dory and I went back home for a few days, waiting for a phone call saying that Kristina had woken up from the coma.
Days had passed, and Kristina had still not woken up.

"Do you think she'll ever wake up again?", Dory suddenly asked me.

"Honey, I can't say for sure, but I promise everything will be okay if she doesn't too.. We will take care of you", I told her.

It has gone two weeks, and she still hasn't woken up. We begun doubting.

"She's dead", Dory said.

"Dory, we need to give it more time", Alex said as he took a sip of his morning coffee.

We all were very sure she was dead, but after 3 weeks, we got a phone call from the hospital.

"Mrs Murphy, we're calling to tell you that your daughter has woken up from the coma", the doctor told us.

I didn't know what to say, I was so relieved.

Kristina's POV
I woke up at the hospital, not knowing what was going on. The last thing I remembered was me trying to kill myself. I sometimes heard talking while I was laying in the hospital bed, but I didn't know exactly what was going on. Suddenly, a sector came.

"Oh, you're awake, how are you feeling?", he asked me.

"What do you mean? I was just near the ocean", I told him.

"You've been laying in a coma for five weeks", he told me.

"Five weeks!?", I asked shocked.

"That's right, if you will excuse me, I'm just call your parents and let them know that you survived", he said as he went to get the phone.

After about 30 minutes, Alex, Joanna and Dory came. Joanna hugged me right and didn't let me go for at least ten seconds.

"I'm so glad you're okay", she said.

"You are?", I asked.

"I'm so sorry.. for being an asshole lately", she told me.

"It's fine", I said.

"No, it's not, you tried to kill yourself and I'm not okay with that", Joanna told me.

When they took me home, Joanna told me that she was gonna have to lock my bedroom door every night, and that I weren't be able to be by myself a second.

"Please don't look my door", I begged.

"It doesn't work no matter how much you try, I'm not gonna let you hurt yourself like you always do. I keep giving you chances, but enough is enough", Joanna said.

"But-", I started.

"No but! Do not argue against me, it's settled!", Joanna said as she walked away.

Alex's POV
I was just working out in the bedroom, when Joanna came.

"We need to stop arguing!", she said as she closed the door.

"Well duh, I know.. you're the one who's pissed all the time", I explained.

"Stop! I'm trying to make this better for Kristina, otherwise she's just gonna try to commit suicide again", she told me.

Joanna didn't understand that she was the one arguing. I've told her to calm down so many times, but she just argued over Kristina and complained. I decided to just walk away, because I didn't want to make her pissed or something.

Suddenly, Dory came to me.

"Damn, you've just worked out, haven't you?", she asked me.

"I have", I told her.

"I like that", she said.

"Dory, I don't want to disappoint you.. but remember I adopted you, I'm your father", I told her.

"Yeah, I know.. but it's not biological though", she said.

I knew exactly what she wanted.

"Okay, fine.. but just this one time", I said.

We all know what happened then.

Joanna's POV
I went out, going to the grocery store, and then I saw someone I haven't seen in a while. Sophia. She recognized me, but she didn't say anything to her new parents. I could tell she knew how I would react to that. I could see her parents giving her their car keys and giving her permission to get into the car alone. What kind of parents do that? But I took the opportunity to talk to her alone. There was no people in the parking lot.

"Hey, kiddo.. remember me?", I asked.

She didn't answer, she just tried to get into the car quickly. But I grabbed her hand.

"No no no, where do you think you're going?", I asked her.

"Please, let me go", she begged.

"I don't think so.. you ruined everything for me, and now you're gonna regret it", I grabbed her and took her into my car.

"I have a phone, I can call the police", she said.

What kind of idiot tells her kidnapper that she has a phone and that she's gonna call the police?

"Are you dumb? Stupid little brat", I said as I took her phone out of her hands.

She started crying. It went on for a long time.

"Don't you ever stop crying?", I asked.

"You know what? Looks like we're gonna have to do it the hard way", I said as I pulled over.

I taped her mouth and put her back in the trunk. When I came home, I tied her to a chair in the living room.

"What the hell?", Kristina said.

"I wanted to give you a life! A happy life! But now that you left me, it looks like I'm gonna have to make you regret you didn't stay!", I said as I hit her.

"Joanna, this has gone too far", Dory said.

I wanted to lock her in the basement without that much food and drink for a whole week, but I didn't know. She was just a little child, an innocent but annoying little child. I thought about her screaming and telling the child welfare things I had done to her. I got mad, and I shot her.
