The Liberty Stadium - Two weeks later

Juliana and Nikki had stayed to play one-on-one after training. It was the way they liked to chat, instead of meeting for coffee or eating, they preferred it that way, all sweaty and agitated.

"And why are you not participating in the Victoria's Secret Marathon?" Nikki asked the brunette as she dribbled the ball.

"Yeah right. And stay to watch how my girlfriend drools over Adriana Lima?" She answered trying to get the ball from her. Which she successfully achieved; she was the star of the team for a reason. "You have to protect it more with your body Nik," she advised.

"And what are you going to do during the six-hour marathon?" She asked while defending the brunette's attack.

Juliana stopped suddenly, "LIKE SIX HOURS?" Nikki took the opportunity to get the ball from her.

"You should protect it with your body July!" She mocked, shooting the ball she had stolen from her.

"MOM, LOOK AT ME!" Kara yelled at her from the side of the court, where the cheerleaders were practicing. The girl had a pom-pom in each hand and was waving them in various letters. Her mother was able to form the word Valdés with the human letters her daughter was making.

"Did she give up the ball for pompoms?" The other player asked Juliana.

"Apparently it's in her blood." The truth was, Kara had spent several of Juliana's training sessions with the cheerleaders. The athlete didn't know if it was because her daughter liked being the centre of attention in the group of women or because she was interested in dancing, chorography or whatever it was the cheerleaders did.

"What do you mean six hours Nikki? I thought the show only lasted two?" The brunette was right.

"According to Lauren," the Latina had invited her to the big event, "before the parade there is a rundown of the previous shows, the backstage footage from your girl's photo session, interviews with people from the brand and best of all, according to Lauren, many models in underwear, running!" The Latina was overly excited about the marathon. "Then there is the parade of course," added the substitute. "And after the parade, it is bad that these words came from your blonde? Comes the best part, the interview with the models and then after that the marathon ends."

Juliana shot at the hoop, missing again. The truth is, she had been upset since that morning when the Jauregui-Cabello wives entered her apartment wearing T-shirts with the model's face. Apparently, the Victoria's Secret marathon was a 'beautiful' custom that was celebrated by the group of friends every year. Even their friend Kurt who worked in fashion joined the group for the event. The event the brunette did not intend to be a part of.

"Well, I don't know then, the kangaroo and I will do something," she informed her friend as she looked to the side of the court, where the cheerleading captain was teaching Kara to make a perfect crescent.

"Don't you think you're going overboard with jealousy July? It's not that bad!" Apparently their game was over, both sat on the bench to watch the little girl doing her normal pirouettes.

"I hate when Valentina pays attention to someone other than me," confessed the brunette. "The day after the wedding I had to endure how she attended to everyone, including her ex-boyfriends who were drooling over her and her brother-in-law who every so often I caught looking at her butt..."

"That guy is a pig," said the other girl.

"Totally!" Juliana agreed. "And to top it off, Valentina gets mad at me because I denied him my soda... MY SODA!... Can you believe it?" The brunette was really upset. "That woman has me crazy, I need her to look at me all the time, to smile at me, I need to be next to her, I don't even recognise myself," she sighed.
