Part 3: Chapter 10

PAGE ONE

Panel one: All three women immediately attempt to jump Floyd. Cassie aims a right straight punch but at the last moment before it connects Floyd teleports out of the way and Cassie accidentally hits Sonya instead. Floyd reappears, grabs their heads and headbutt them together. He backhands Jacqui away and as Sonya and Cassie attempt to attack again he catches them with a jumping split kick. He blocks all of Jacquis strikes with one hand before blasting her away with a thunder discharge.
He side kicks Sonya in the stomach and blasts Sonya away with a fireball.

Floyd: Yes...I'm getting far more used to this now. I can feel myself getting into the flow.

Panel two: We see Shang Tsung observing the scene from his office. He has his usual smug expression as he watches his creation continue to improve. Floyd continues to effortlessly dodge every attack thrown at him. He blasts his attackers back with a wall of fire. He then uses soul magic to lift all of them up and slam them into each other. The three women get up and try to attack him but their attacks are once again in vain as Floyd easily dodges and counters each of their attacks. He throws crystal shards at them, which they narrowly avoid. Cassie activates her green energy and goes to attack with a shadow kick but Floyd sidesteps it and even lands one of his own. Cassie gets dropped but gets back up and begins firing her pistols. Floyd summons a crystal shield and blocks the bullets before blasting Cassie with an ice ball and pinning her to the wall. He prepares to eliminate her but Jacqui fires bullets from her gauntlets to distract him. He turns and gets hit by three energy rings from Sonya that send him crashing back and through a wall.

Panel 3: Floyd pops back up and lands a flying kick on Sonya. He summons ice spikes on the floor towards Jacqui, who's able to roll away from it. He teleports to her and lands a spinning back kick to the body. He sends Cassie away with a flaming left hook and blasts Sonya away with thunder.

Floyd: That's enough. It's time for me to seek higher competition.

Panel 4: Before anyone can react Floyd teleports in a burst of smoke and disappears.

Panel 5: We see Liu Kang and Kung Lao sparring. Kung Lao blocks a kick. Liu Kang slips a jab. Left hook blocked by Kung Lao. Liu Kang pulls away from a spinning back kick. Kung Lao parries a jab and tries to counter with one of his own but Liu Kang pulls away in time. Kung Lao checks a body kick by raising his shin to block it.

Liu Kang: Even after all these years you still maintain top form Kung Lao.

Kung Lao: I can say the same about you.

Panel 6: The two of them begin walking back to the temple when they suddenly see a monk go flying. Kung Lao catches him and checks on him.

Kung Lao: What happened?!

Liu Kang: What's going on who attacked you?!

The monk: Scorpion...Sub-Zero...Reptile...I'm not sure.

Panel 7: Liu Kang and Kung Lao both look extremely confused. They look up and we see Floyd stepping into view. His outfit changes from yellow to blue to green to purple. The monks get up and ready themselves

Panel 1: Floyd observes the two monks.

Kung Lao: And who the hell are you?

Liu Kang: What business do you have here?

Liu Kang: Finally some true competition. The one known as Johnny Cage refers to me as Floyd. You two are Kung Lao and Liu Kang.

Kung Lao: What do you mean by true competition? What did you do to Johnny?

Floyd: Nothing, he's alive and well. I just simply tested myself against him. He proved to be a decent opponent but truthfully I need higher competition. I need to evolve even further, and considering you two are among the strongest mortals in Earthrealm, it's only fair that I fight you two.
