Second Person P.O.V.

"Jean-boy! You didn't tell me that you're taking her home today!" Jean's mother exclaimed as she ran towards the both of you to give you a hug. She embraced you like you were her daughter, but you didn't mind. You were longing for a physical touch from a mother who understands.

"Jean sort of dragged me here." You snickered as you went inside their house. Jean placed the bag of goods on the table as your eyes scanned their simple home.

"Please, make yourself at home." Jean's mother said and went to the kitchen. You undressed your long olive-green military coat and hung it on the rack beside the door. The home felt warm and comfortable as Jean started helping out his mother. You have a habit of not staying still, so you stood up to help them out.

"Let me help prep the vegetables you with that." You cheerfully said as you rolled up your sleeves.

"Oh! You don't have to-" "She has great cooking skills, mom." Jean winked at his mother as he took the plates from the cupboards.

"I said I would be making dinner for you, but Jean-boy says so, then start by chopping these." She handed out some vegetables as you position the chopping board in front of you. You took a small kitchen knife and began chopping the vegetables into chunks.

"Mom! You're embarrassing her!" Jean yelled a bit as he slumped on the couch.

"I'm 17, Mrs. Kirschtein." You politely answered as you finished chopping the last vegetable.

"A year older than my son! Anyways, I could take it from here." His mother said as you sat beside Jean and leaned on his shoulder. You couldn't help but take a short nap.

"That was the best meal I had in months!" You clasped your hands as you commended Mrs

"That was the best meal I had in months!" You clasped your hands as you commended Mrs. Kirschtein's dish.

"I'm glad you like it. It's an act of gratitude for training my son to be one of the best soldiers." She said as she picked up the dirty dishes.

"I'm just doing my duty, Mrs. Kirschtein." You said as you stood up. [Y/n] couldn't help but caress her meager baby bump that looks like it had been there for two and a half months with her right hand. Did you enjoy the food? She thought to herself. She instantly stopped what she's doing to avoid any looks coming from Jean, who was gulping water.

"Goodness dear! You should stay here for the night." Mrs. Kirschtein blurted while looking out the window by their kitchen counter. It was already midnight, and not many people are in the streets.
