Cassie's POV
As we walked onto Christian's campus, he pointed things out to me. It was nice to see him be happy over everything here. When we got to the auditorium, Christian introduced me to a few people who had worked there. The students started coming in not too long after. "You ready for a bunch of questions? They said they wanted us to answer questions on how we got to where we we're at now but there might be other questions." I nodded.
Christian put his hand on my back as he could tell I was getting a little tense. It feels like I haven't subbed since before I had the twins and I just got some nerves. But since Christian was with me I felt better.
"So when asking questions, they said you can call them by their first names. This is Christian and this is Cassie," The lady told the students.
"So I know Christian was going to go to college to play baseball and ended up getting drafted, and your brother Ryan went to college to play baseball as well. So why didn't you go to college for softball? Did you have offers?" One of the students asked.
"Yes I did have offers but I didn't go to college for softball because I just wanted to get my education done and graduate with no interruptions. As much as I do regret it, I am actually happy with the way things turned out."
"What did you go to school for?" The same kid had asked.
"I actually went to become a high school teacher. Got my degree and the credentials. And before moving to Milwaukee, I was going to become a teacher."
"Here?" Someone else had asked.
"Malibu High School." They all looked around to see if I was serious. "No I didn't go there, I wasn't even a Westlake student. Granada." Finally they all nodded.
Another student asked Christian a question. "How many kids do you two have?"
"We have twin boys and a daughter, so three." I watched Christian enjoy answering a bunch of questions.
"Cassie would you ever think about coaching softball?" A girl had asked and I saw a bunch of girls get excited.
"Well since we're in Arizona and Milwaukee during softball season, it would be a no. Plus my kids are still young and I would have to find a babysitter for them."
"Please we really would like for you to be our coach." I looked towards Christian and he didn't do anything. "Right the spot is open," She said and looked at the athletic director.
"She is right. The spot is open, the conditioning starts in a month." I shrugged a little unsure of what to say.
"I feel honored," I started and they all got excited and started cheering. I never agreed and I didn't want to tell them that. How would I be able to coach, when I had three kids and Christian wants to try for another one. Plus Christian loves having me all to himself.
"What about you Christian? Would you ever come back and be a coach? Or at any level?"
"I'm not sure, I have to see how my kids are doing at the time and what else I have going on." Christian and I always talked about this. We always said we would like to stay at home with our kids since they would've already lived a very chaotic life.
Christian's POV
"So softball coach?" I asked Cas as we got into the car. She groaned a little and I laughed. "You know I don't want to control you but I want you with me in Arizona and Milwaukee. Plus my kids can't be that far from me."
"I don't want the job. They all think I agreed and I didn't though. But worse comes to worse, your brother and the guys can take the kids up there. I don't mind the guys being up at our house."
