Cassie's POV
We arrived in Bora Bora with our families and the baby was fussy so I was a little grumpy as well. "I got him Cas," Christian's stepdad said and I handed the baby to him. Him and Alecia wanted to keep the baby for a bit so I went back to our room and I wanted to take a nap. We all got our luggage in the room and then I thought everyone was tired but it was just me. It wasn't ideal to take a nap the first hour we were here, but flying with four kids, and being around family for that entire time, is exhausting.
So I changed and laid in bed while Christian and the kids did whatever. I felt pretty well rested when I was woken up by Noah. But I saw that everyone was getting ready for dinner. "What did you do with dad while I slept?"
"He took some calls." I was already annoyed because Christian promised no business calls and no interruptions while on this vacation. "Then we walked around and got a snack."
"Okay, are you excited to eat? And is the baby still with grandma and grandpa?" He nodded and I got up and started getting dressed and I went to the bathroom and did my hair. I was about ready and then I wanted to get some pictures with the family before we went out so I needed everyone to be quick and finish getting dressed. "Bri come here babe."
She walked into the bathroom and then I set her on the counter and did her hair in a ponytail and I put her earrings in for her. At this point, I think we were all waiting on Christian. "Babe," I said walking out of the bathroom. He was on the back patio talking on the phone. He looked stressed and I was just upset that he was doing business right now. He finished his call and then walked back in and saw me.
"Babe, what happened to no business calls?" I asked and went to hug him. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed the top of my head.
"That should be the last of them. I'm sorry babe." He gave me a kiss and then his phone rang again and I looked at him. "I'm sorry," He said and went back outside. The kids looked at me and they knew I was annoyed.
"I know that all of you guys are hungry right now, but just give your dad a few minutes. I'm hoping it won't be longer than that." We sat there and waited for Christian who was taking his sweet time. The kids were becoming impatient wondering when we were going to leave and I felt super bad. "I think everyone is excited to be together and see each other. What do you guys think?" I asked the boys and they nodded their heads yes.
"Uncle Ryan here too?" Brielle asked and I nodded and looked at her.
"Uncle Steve isn't coming until tomorrow morning. He's on his way though. But everyone from your dad's side is here already, and almost everyone from my side is here. But regardless of who is here, we are going to have so much fun. That's what your dad and I intend for you guys."
I looked at the patio and he was looking upset and stressed out and I was wondering what was causing all of this. I grabbed my purse because I was just gonna leave and there was a knock on the back door and Christian was telling us to wait. The kids were getting very impatient and we're gonna start throwing temper tantrums if they didn't get to go eat and hang out with everyone. My twins loved seeing everyone and talking so they would be upset if they didn't get the opportunity to talk to our family.
Cameron's POV
Everyone was just waiting on Cassie and Christian to leave their room for dinner. So I decided to go walk to their room to see if they were ready. I just hope that I won't hear anything nasty coming from their room. But that's what I expected lowkey. As I started approaching the room, I could hear them arguing back and fourth. I put my ear up to the door and Cassie seemed so upset.
"Well where does that leave us?" I could hear her ask him. She started crying and I didn't want to interrupt at this point. So I started to walked away but heard my brother starting to talk.
"I don't know. You know both of us never expected it to go this far." I raised my eyebrows. What could they possibly be talking about? I immediately thought of the worst, and I was nervous for them, for their kids especially.
"Christian," I heard her barely get out. I decided to stop listening in on their conversation, and I would text him that we were waiting on them. I was worried about them to say the least. I texted Christian saying if they were ready. As I was walking back, Christian responded asking to come get the kids. It was only a few minutes back so of course, I went and grabbed my niece and nephews.
"I hungry uncle," Bri told me and I laughed a little.
"I bet you are. I am so hungry, I can eat this much." I set her down and opened my arms wide and she laughed. "How about you?" She copied me and I kept laughing. The boys looked upset and I didn't know if it was because Cas and Christian were fighting. But I felt bad. I didn't know what the situation was but usually they will try to keep the arguing away from in front of the kids, but I guess today they couldn't.
"Mase and Noey, you good?" They shrugged and I kneeled down so I could see them. "What's wrong?" They both started crying and I opened my arms for them to hug me and they both hugged me. I rubbed their backs for a few minutes before they both had stopped. "You guys know I am always here if you want to talk. I love all of you guys."
"I love you too," They all said one by one and that made me happy. We all continued walking to where everyone else was at.
