Cassie's POV
I was up feeding Cameron in the middle of the night, when Christian woke up sweating. "Babe, you're joking right?" I asked and he looked at me confused.
"You're not hot?" I shook my head no. He always got sick at the most random times of the year.
"I'll go grab you some medicine. You have to take a shower and then I'll change the sheets."
"I'll be fine," He said and then looked at the baby. "How long has he been eating?" I looked at the time.
"Twenty minutes." I took him off and changed sides and he got grouchy. "I'm so exhausted." As much as I loved having kids, this had to be one of the most exhausting parts.
Christian took his shirt off and then laid back under the blankets. "I can make a bottle for him if you'd like. Actually that's what I'll do. You go back to sleep, I got him."
"I have like ten more minutes. The next time, you can take him. Which will be in two hours." He nodded and then watched us. I took him off when he started falling asleep and then I put him in his crib. Christian tried cuddling up to me but he was too hot and sweaty.
He laughed and stayed where he was at. I ended up falling asleep pretty fast. When I woke up the next morning, I was by myself. My body was hurting so bad and I didn't feel like getting out of bed.
I just laid there on my phone until I could hear Christian yell at one of the boys. As I went downstairs, Noah was crying. "I hate you!" He yelled at Mason and Mason pushed him again.
I saw Cameron get up and he grabbed Mason. "Why?" I asked myself quietly. "I don't think I've ever been this drained physically and mentally."
Alecia was holding the baby and Brielle sat next to her and admired him. Ricky was helping Christian in the kitchen. I walked over and Christian smiled at me. I tried faking a smile back but instead, ended up crying.
"Hey what's wrong?" He whispered and he came and hugged me. I couldn't stop myself from crying so he took me to the backyard. "Cassie can you tell me how you're feeling?"
"I feel so sad. Like I don't know."
"Do you need to talk to someone? If you seriously need help babe, we need to look into that."
"I just feel like ever since I had the baby, life has become super hard. I just think it's waking up in the middle of the night that gets me. And I just don't like feeling like this."
"How about we can start off with this. You, my mom, and Bri if she wants, can go get your nails done. We will stay home with the boys, clean, feed them, take them out for a little adventure, and then when you come home, if you're not feeling up to it still, go take a nap, and then we can discuss this further."
"Okay," I said and opened my arms and he opened his back up and hugged me. "I love you so much."
"I love you too Cassie Lynn." He kissed me before wiping my face. We went back into the house and Christian finished making breakfast burritos. "So mom," He said as we sat at the table. She glanced at him and waited for him to talk. "You, Bri, and Cas can go out and have a girls day, when you guys are ready."
"Okay that's so exciting." I smiled and then started eating. Cameron started crying in the middle of breakfast and I looked down because I felt tears forming in my eyes.
"I got it, don't worry." Ricky got up and I wanted to let everything out but I didn't.
Christian's POV
"She's just overwhelmed right now, and needs a break. And if it's possible, I want her to go get the help. But I'll just wait until she says that for sure she needs it." Cam shook his head as he went to go pick up the baby. "I know after the other kids, it's been like this for a couple weeks but she's never shown it like this."
"Well whatever we can do to help her, I want to do," Cam said. Before Cas left, she pumped so I put it into a couple of bags. When the baby was down, we started cleaning different areas of the house. I cleaned our bedroom and started on laundry.
"Dad we go swimming?" Noah asked coming into our room.
"I need to clean it first. In a couple of hours alright?" He nodded and then let me be. I put all of the baby's stuff back in the designated spots. When we finished cleaning in the house, I washed both the car and the truck, and then since I promised the kids swimming, I went and cleaned the pool.
"Dad," I heard and turned around and saw Mason. "Cam cry."
"Go ask Ricky to get him please." He went back in and then I finished up with the pool. "Thirty minutes Noey." I finished up some cleaning in the man cave, and then got the kids to go outside and get in the pool.
Not too long after we were swimming, the girls came home. "Ooooo, you three look gorgeous," I said and got out of the pool.
"Look!" Bri yelled at me and she showed me her nails. They were pink.
"You got my favorite color!" I said and picked her up. "They are so cute babe." I kissed her cheek and then looked at my mom and Cas. "What would you two beautiful ladies like for lunch?"
"Some carne asada fries if you don't mind," Cas said and then looked at my mom to see if it was alright. She nodded, so I grabbed a towel, so I could dry off.
Cameron was laying on the pool chair, asleep, while holding the baby. "They've been so comfortable for about twenty minutes," Ricky told Cassie.
"They're literally twins, and both so adorable." She went over and got a picture of them sleeping. After she came over and sat with me on the chair.
"Are you healing alright down there?" I asked her quietly.
"I think so. I have my check up next week and hopefully everything goes alright. But I've felt good, so I don't think there will be a problem. I relax as much as possible." She looked at me and then kissed me quickly. "I'm glad you're home for the next couple of days."
"Me too," I said and got up. "I'm gonna start on the meat. Feel free, to look around the house and see how clean it is." She laughed and got up.
Cassie's POV
"Big Cameron and little Cameron," I said and rubbed their heads. Cam groaned and then the baby woke up. "Come to mommy," I said and picked him up.
"Why are you home?" He mumbled.
"I'm done getting my nails done?" I questioned. He nodded and then got up. The baby started crying so I took him to go change his diaper but Cam stopped me.
"I got it," He said and I handed him back. I went inside and grabbed all of the stuff to take out for lunch and I made the kids plates with Christian.
"You can go sit down. I got it beautiful." I smiled and listened to him. I took the baby from Cam when he came back out. He had a bottle, so it would probably be a peaceful lunch. As we sat down, the twins were the only ones that were talking. And of course, they were just talking to each other. "Mini Cassie number one and two, shhh," Christian said and we all laughed.
We finished eating and then I got up to help him clean. "The guys and I got it." I looked at him. "You just sit down with the baby."
"I'm gonna pump," I said and went inside to go get the pumps. I put them on and grabbed my shirt and put it back on. I went back outside and watched the kids swim some more.
"I'll take the baby," Alecia said and took him from me. "Oh he is so freaking cute." Cameron opened his eyes and looked at her. She rubbed his head and he was entertained.
"I love you," Christian said and came up behind me and kissed me. A little bit of water dripped on me. "I want to go out with you tonight."
"We can't just leave everyone with the kids."
"Cas come on. We can take the baby with us if anything." I looked at him crazy. "Cassie please."
"You two go out, I'll stay with the baby," Alecia said and I really didn't want to leave tonight but Christian was so excited.
