A golden haired young girl sat in the middle on a set of stairs, resting her head on her hand, staring up at the moon and stars. Seeing the beauty of the shining dots and giant star was enough to make the corners of her mouth rise up into a smile.
The sound of door opening took the girl out of her trance, seeing someone who put her worries at ease.
"Hey, Armin." "Annie? What are you doing out here?" Annie remained silent, looking back up at the stars, smiling yet once again.
Armin was about to repeat his question, but decided not to when he saw the facial expression on his girlfriend.
"You should smile more." Annie looked confused. "It's a good look on you." The blonde just rolled her eyes. "I'm serious! You have a beautiful smile!" Annie laughed lightly and looked back at the stars. "Sorry I left you hanging in there." "It's fine, now that I see what you're looking at. The stars are beautiful." Annie glared at Armin. "I swear, if you say 'but not as beautiful as you', I will kick you in the balls." Armin shuffled a little uncomfortable in his spot. "No, I was going to say something else."
The female turned towards her boyfriend. "Okay. I'm listening." "Maybe... we could do this more often." "This?" "Staring at the stars. I mean, I am a little bit of a fan of astrology."
Annie leaned her head in with a mischievous grin. "Prove it."
Armin looked up at the sky and pointed at a constellation. "That's Scorpio. And judging by its position, Orion must probably not be too far ahead, or behind." "Ahead or behind? Why do you say that?" "As the legend goes, Orion is a hunter who hunts Scorpio. Whenever the stars change, either Orion will chase Scorpio, or Scorpio will chase Orion." Annie looked back up at the stars.
"Never knew that. Thanks for the trivia."
The couple looked up at the constellations together. "Maybe we can do this. Staring up at the stars occasionally." Armin felt his girlfriend stand up and walk up to the door. "Come on. These stars won't be gone forever. We have a party to join."
Armin stood up and took Annie's hand, planting a kiss to her cheek and walking with her back into the party.
