Atena had just put the final part of her supplies in her bag, and was finally ready to go home. She walked down the hallway of the middle school, making her way outside, where all the students were ready to go home too.
The pink haired woman noticed one of her own students entering her car. She caught a glimpse of other girls in the vehicle, most likely her sisters. There was even an infant. Atena couldn't help but feel nostalgic when seeing the family. The many girls and the one baby reminded her of herself and her former dorm mates from college. And of course, their dorm mother, Koshi. The thought of him made Atena smile.
It was such a long time ago. That fateful day when Mineru found a young boy on the sidewalk, starving to death. The very boy who was brought to the Goddess' Dormitory, and the very boy Atena had sworn to protect. And in the Goddess' Dormitory, protection was definitely needed.
Atena walked down the sidewalk, and spotted a stoplight across the road. Seeing the little walking icon made her think back to another special moment between her and Koshi. She couldn't help but giggle at the memory.
It was the start of a new semester, and Koshi was nearly late on his first day back at school. Atena had grabbed his hand and literally dashed as if she were in the olympics. There was even a moment where the young boy had to get a piggyback ride, where he accidentally grabbed hold of the older girl's breast. But strangely enough, she didn't care. She probably didn't notice. But that day would only spark the beginning of something big.
Atena continued her walk home, where she caught a glimpse of people sitting by tables and enjoying meals. Now that triggered an even bigger memory. The image of an embarrassed Koshi asking Atena to court her. She accepted, but only because she didn't want to feel bad and reject him. Little did she know that it was on their very first date that she would begin to reciprocate the young boy's feelings.
Of course, being in a relationship with someone younger than her would not necessarily be accepted by some people, but over time, her insecurities faded away, and she, quite literally, called out to her dorm mates and said: "I'm dating a shota. So what?"
And thus, a very special love story had begun. And the couple of said story couldn't be any more happier. Koshi had found a family, and Atena had gotten over her androphobia. All of that was such a long time ago. Seventeen years ago, exactly. Now they were all full grown adults. As for Koshi, well, let's just say he and Atena aren't boyfriend and girlfriend anymore.
The said woman arrived at her home, opening the door and walking inside. "I'm home." From the couch, a young man stared at her, and smiled. He was Koshi Nagumo. Formerly Atena's boyfriend, now her husband. He still looked the same as he did as a child, only obviously much taller. He also had a bit of a stubble beard going on.
"Welcome home", the man greeted, giving his wife a loving kiss. The woman moved to the living room, where her two year old son Riku was sitting. He had pink hair like his mom, and brown eyes like his dad. He clapped his hands and squeaked excitedly. Atena picked him up and placed a barrage of kisses on his face. "I've got a surprise for you", said Koshi. His wife looked at him with curiosity. The man picked up a stuffed toy rabbit and waved it a bit. Riku looked at it and pointed towards it. "Bunny!"
Atena couldn't believe it. "Did he..." "Say his first word? Yes he did." The pink haired woman looked at her son and hugged him. "Mommy's so proud of you!"
"Mommy!", exclaimed the infant, surprising his mother again, as well as his father. "Yes! That's right! Mommy!" "Mommy!", laughed the baby.
. . .
It was a peaceful night, with Riku fast asleep and his parents watching a movie together. But Atena's focus drifted off to her husband's face. She always finds it hard to imagine her life without him, or what it would've been. One thing's for certain, meeting Koshi was the best day of her life.
"What's wrong?", asked the said man. Atena smiled at him. "Thank you. For being in my life." Koshi was confused by her words, but smiled. The couple leaned in and shared a kissed. "You're more than welcome."
