"Now do a twirl", said Yuzuru to Shouko. The deaf girl did so, showing off her skirt. It was a simple dress that she wore. It was red without any patterns on it, and had no sleeves. As for the skirt, it reached just under her knees. Yaeko clasped her hands over her mouth. "Look at you. My daughter is going to a party." Shouko smiled bashfully.

A knock came from the door downstairs. "I'll get it", said Yuzuru. She dashed down the stairs, and swung open the door. "Well look who it is." Standing on the doorstep was Shouya Ishida. He was clad in a classic tuxedo, save for the yellow tie. "Hi, Yuzuru. Is Shouko ready?" "Oh, she's ready alright."

Yuzuru stood aside and presented the stairway, where two people were walking. One was Yaeko, and behind her was Shouko. Shouya felt his eyes widen once he saw how she looked. He gulped, and struggled to find the right words to say. All he could manage was, "Wow." Shouko blushed. "You look...wow." Yuzuru and Yaeko chuckled. "Now run along you two. You have a party to get to."
The two young lovers nodded, and Shouya took Shouko's hand. They both walked outside, heading towards the car where Shouya's mother was waiting.

. . .

"Alright, here we are", said Miyako. "You kids have fun, okay?" "We will, Mom", said Shouya. He walked out the car while holding Shouko's hand. They walked up to the school, where various students were all walking around outside.

"Shouko!" Miyoko came running towards the couple, cooing at her friend's dress. "You look so beautiful!" "I'll say. You're a lucky man, Shouya", said Satoshi, who also came along with the rest of Shouya and Shouko's friends. "That is such a wonderful dress, Shouko!", complimented Miki. The deaf girl blushed and moved closer to Shouya out of shyness. "Come on guys, let's not let Shouya feel left out of the compliments", said Tomohiro. "Th-that's not necessary!", said Shouya.

"Hey! The party is in here, people!", Naoka called out, gesturing to the school hall. Everyone looked at her, and walked towards her. "What's wrong? Jealous about Shouko?", asked Tomohiro. Naoka just ignored him. The group of friends entered the building, being met with music, colorful lights, and their fellow classmates dancing, laughing, eating snacks, and just having a good time in general. "Alright! Let's get this party started!", cheered Tomohiro. "Now you're speaking my language", said Naoka.

Everyone entered the party, ready to have a fun night.

"I never knew the guy had such a big place", said Satoshi. "I did hear he was rich", said Miki. "So what if it's big? It is the perfect place to celebrate!", said Miyoko. Shouya looked at his girlfriend. "Just tell me if this place makes you uncomfortable, okay?", he signed. Shouko nodded. They both joined hands and went to go partake in the celebration.

A celebration for what, you may ask? For the students' high school graduation. One of said students offered to invite his classmates to his, now confirmed, mansion for a party.

Shouko's stomach let out a small grumble, much to her embarrassment. "What's wrong?", asked Shouya. His girlfriend rubbed her belly with a bashful look on her face. "Oh. You're hungry?" "I haven't eaten yet", Shouko signed. "There are some snacks. Let me go get you some", signed Shouya. He took his lover's hand and dragged her along to the snack table.

Shouko took a melon pan and bit off a piece. She glanced to the side to see Shouya looking at her. "Um, I never got to say this", he signed. "But you look really beautiful." The deaf girl blushed. "Hey come on, it's true", chuckling Shouya. "You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."

Shouko was struggling so much to hide her embarrassed face as her dress didn't have anything to use. Her attention then moved to the main floor, where people were dancing. Shouya noticed this. He offered out his hand to her, blushing a bit. "Do you want to dance?" Shouko was shocked by the suggestion, but happily nodded. She took her boyfriend's hand and walked with him to the dance floor. The moment they stood still, they slowly rested their hands on each other. Shouya put his hand on Shouko's waist, and she did the same with his shoulder.

A slow, soothing song played on the speaker, giving the signal for anyone who were couples to start slow dancing.

Shouko felt Shouya step on her toe. "Sorry." The deaf girl just giggled and continued dancing. Well, trying to. There were some bumps along the road, but they managed. After about three mistakes, the two lovers were now properly dancing. They looked into each other's eyes, admiring how beautiful they look to one another. Shouko rested her head on her lover's chest. Shouya leaned down and placed a kiss on her head. To the both of them, it was as if everyone around them had disappeared, and it was just the two of them.

. . .

Everyone bid their farewells as they made their way to the transports that would take them home. Shouya and Shouko walked to Miyako's car, their hands joined.

"So, you two had fun?" "Yes, Mom. A lot." The woman raised her brow with a teasing smile. "Not too much fun, I hope." "MOM!", exclaimed a flustered Shouya. Shouko blushed. Miyako turned her attention to the front, and started her car. "Relax, I'm just teasing. And don't act surprised. You two are at that age."

Shouya groaned in embarrassment.
