Some of the students of class 3A were on a day out. Izuku and Ochako glanced at one another, then averted their gazes. A while back, Ochako finally gathered the courage to confess to the greenette. However, when she did, he freaked out and ran off.
It's not because he hated the brunette, but because he was scared. Years of bullying made him insecure about himself in certain aspects, and he wasn't sure if Ochako genuinely liked him, or it was because of some joke. Then again, she's not the type to do that.
But it's not like he could ask her. Not now, anyway.
Suddenly, the sounds of people screaming was heard. The students ran and saw a Nomu was on a rampage. "Get everyone to safety", said Izuku, who ran towards the monster. It noticed him, and swung a fist at him, but missed as Izuku dodged and charged One For All in his foot, kicking the beast in the side. Next, his fist went into the Nomu's face, knocking out a few teeth. Another punch was delivered, but this time, the beast blocked it with its arms.
Izuku felt a fist fly up into his jaw, launching him into the air. His foot was grabbed, and he was slammed into the ground. Next, he was kicked across the ground a fair distance away.
From afar, Ochako watched as her crush was being beaten by the Nomu. She couldn't sit back and watch any longer. She ran over to the fight, before it became too late.
The Nomu dug its fingers into Izuku's shoulders, making him cry out in pain. He used all his strength to charge One For All and punch the monster far away. The greenette staggered to the ground, his body aching from the fight. He could only watch as the Nomu begin to approach him.
Suddenly, Izuku was enveloped into an embrace. By Ochako. "Don't touch him", she said Menacingly.
The Nomu didn't stop, though. But Ochako remained strong. "You are not going to hurt the man I love!", she exclaimed. The Nomu ran at the duo, ready to strike.
Then, out of nowhere, a blur appeared and punched the Nomu away. "Never fear, because I am here!", exclaimed All Might.

The fight was over, and Izuku received proper medical treatment.
He was walking to the girls dorms, approaching the room of Ochako. He knocked on the door, and the brunette walked out. "Oh. Deku." "H-hey."
Izuku took a deep breath. "Thanks for protecting me. That meant a lot." "Y-yeah, no worries."
Ochako noticed that the greenette seemed troubled. "I'm sorry."
"About what?" "About that day. When you... confessed." Ochako froze. "I don't want to stall. I ran away because I was afraid. Before UA, I had a miserable life, with no girl even willing to look at me. But then... I met you." Ochako listened intently, and feeling terrible for Izuku and his past.
"I was unsure how to feel when you told me you loved me, but then... you protected me today. Without hesitation. I guess... I don't have to be scared anymore." Izuku gently took Ochako's hands. "Uraraka... I love you. Please, if you are still willing, I want to stand by your side, and protect you like you protected me."
Ochako felt tears well up in her eyes. Without thinking, she jumped into Izuku's arms and kissed him deeply. He was shocked at first, but melted into it.
And just like that day, Ochako protected Izuku for the rest of her life, while Izuku did the same. Hell, they even protected their children the same way.
