Nagito looked around the house, noticing that it was unusually empty. "Mikan? Honey?" The luckster walked around the house, searching for his wife. His search was then cut short from a dry cough coming from his and Mikan's room.
He peeked through the door, seeing the love of his love standing up from the bed, preparing to get dressed. But something was different about her. Her complexion was bleak, and there were dark circles under her eyes. Mikan let out another cough, then sniffed."Mikan?" "Oh! N-Nagito!" "Are you okay? You don't look so well." "I'm fine. I just need to get to work." Mikan was about to walk away, but was grabbed around the waist by her husband. "You are going nowhere." The nurse was dropped back onto the bed. "You are clearly sick, Mikan. I'll call the hospital and inform them."
"But..." "No buts. As your husband, I vowed to stay by your side in sickness and in health. And right now, this is sickness." Mikan gave up arguing, because she knew Nagito was right.
She snuggled into bed and watched her husband walk out of the room. Deep down, the young woman was happy, knowing she was going to be with him the whole day. It was easy since Nagito was a househusband. The ash blonde was in the kitchen, making chicken soup for his bride. "And done. Let's get this to Mikan." He took a rag with him as he walked up the stairs back to the bedroom. He entered the room to see his wife currently finishing undressing, staying only in her undergarments.
"M-Mikan? What are you doing?" "I felt a little hot. I thought..." "It's okay. Just keep resting." Mikan crawled back into bed and rested her head on the pillow. Nagito put the bowl of chicken soup on the bedside table and walked into the bathroom, soaking the rag in the sink with wet water.
He walked back to the nurse and put the wet rag on her head. "Alright, sit up a bit. Time to eat." Mikan did as her husband said and leaned up against the headboard. Nagito scooped some of the chicken soup into a spoon and fed Mikan.
"This must feel weird for you, being the one getting treated instead of doing the treating yourself." Mikan nodded. "It's strange, but nice as well." Nagito smiled. "If you weren't so sick right now, I'd give you a kiss."The luckster then snapped his fingers, getting an idea. He walked over to his bedside and took out a small piece of paper.
He gave it kiss and handed over to Mikan. "Now you kiss it too." The nurse did so. "See? It's an indirect kiss, but a kiss nonetheless!"
Mikan giggled. If being sick meant being like this, she wish she would've gotten sick a long time ago.
