Kokichi stared up at the roof of the hospital room. He had just recovered from passing a kidney stone, and just had to stay for the night before he could go home the next day. But he was bored. Really, really, bored. He just watched everything there was to watch on the TV. Now, there was absolutely nothing for him to do.
That is, until the door creaked open.
A flask rolled across the floor, and released purple smoke. Once it cleared, a redheaded woman in a witch hat emerged. "Himiko!" "Shhh, you don't want to wake everyone else, do you?" Kokichi shook his head. Himiko smiled and snapped her fingers, making small streamers and confetti appear. The purple haired man clapped his hands.
"And that's not all..." The magician removed a white bag from behind her back and took out a lavender teddy bear from it. "Guess who's this from?"
"Ta-da!" Another figure entered the room. A little girl who looked like Himiko, but with purple hair. "Mizuki!", cheered Kokichi. "Did you get this for me?" The little girl nodded.
"And I got you this", said Himiko. Her husband tilted his head in confusion. "I don't see anything." The magician reached behind his head and then there was a can of grape panta in her hand. "You were saying?" Kokichi's eyes went wide.
"You think that's impressive? Wait until you see this. Mizuki?" The little girl handed a tiny red ball to her mother, which she squeezed between her fingers. When she released, there were suddenly two balls.
"How did you..." "Magic." As Himiko said that, she pulled a card from behind her own ear. She spun it and made it levitate midway in the air.
"Damn. I have the coolest wife on earth", said Kokichi. He then looked at his daughter. "Same goes to you Mizuki. You're the coolest daughter on earth." "Yay!" Himiko took out a paper plate. "Another magic trick?" "What do you think?"
She threw a towel over it. "Mizuki, care to do the honors?" Mizuki raised her hands at the plate. "Abra cadabra!" Himiko lifted the towel and revealed eight cookies on the plate. Kokichi was now very excited. He took a bite from one of the cookies. "Are these homemade?" The two females nodded. "Even better! It just shows how much you two love me."
Himiko walked over to her husband and pecked him on the lips. "Finish up your snacks, then get some rest."
Kokichi hugged her, and then did the same to Mizuki. "I'll see you two tomorrow." They waved goodbye, and Kokichi took his grape panta and cookies. "Just for tonight, and I'll get to go home tomorrow", he said to himself.
