Nagisa glanced at his phone, then back at the cup he was filling up with custard. He took the note that there was more custard than there was supposed to be. He took out a spoon and scooped some out to eat. He was impressed with the taste, and resisted the urge to take another scoop. The blue haired man took the carton of custard to fill in the rest of the cups in the tray with the same amount of the dairy product.
Nagisa looked at the recipe on his phone. "Leave in fridge for three hours." He looked at the clock. He hurried to the fridge and put the tray of custard in it, then set a timer for after three hours.
Once that was done, the young man made his way to the living room to sit down and relax. All he had to do now was wait. For both the custard to finish freezing, and for his wife to come home. The thought of the joy on her face made him smile. In their three years of being best friends, five years of dating, and five months of being married, Nagisa knew that his lover loved nothing more than a good cup of pudding. Well, except him, of course. Plus, it was homemade pudding, so it was full of love.
. . .
Nagisa gently placed pudding down on a plate, then poured some chocolate sauce over it. He glanced at the treat, but couldn't help but feel as if something was missing. He snapped his fingers, coming up with something. He walked to the fridge and took out one strawberry. He took a knife, cut it in half. The one half was eaten by the young man, while the other was put on top of the pudding.
The sound of the door opening came to Nagisa's ears, and he turned to see the love of his life. "I'm home", said Kayano, looking very exhausted. "You okay?", asked Nagisa. "I am now that I get to be here with you." The young woman fell into her husband's arms, loving his presence. "I have a gift for you", he said. He turned to the kitchen counter and took the plate of pudding and a fork. Kayano watched it being presented to her, her mouth practically watering.
"Best part", said Nagisa, leaning in to his wife's ear. "It's homemade." "So made with love?" "Exactly." Nagisa held the plate while Kayano took the fork. "Enjoy", said the bluenette, nuzzling against his lover's face.
She took a scoop of pudding and popped it into her mouth, humming in satisfaction. "It's delicious! You should do this more often!" Nagisa smiled. "Anything for you." Kayano smiled at her husband. She placed the pudding aside and gave him a kiss. "I love you." "I love you too." Another kiss was shared, and Nagisa went into thought.
"What's wrong?", asked Kayano. "I taste the pudding", said Nagisa. The couple shared a light laugh.
