Tired. That's how Loid was feeling. His day was long and full of hard work that required his full commitment. In the end, all he needed was a long, soothing nap, and hoped that there was no other errand to get in the way of that goal. Or so he thought.

As Loid was about to open the door of his home, it would not open, as it was locked. "Yor and Anya are probably out", he said. He took out his keys and inserted it into the slot, twisting it to unlock and open it. He walked in, but the work was not done. The man's eyes fell onto the clock on the wall, seeing the time. It was way past supper. Way past. Loid looked around, and finding no trace of food having been made. He sighed, and decided he himself had to make something. Was he frustrated? Yes. But if he didn't do this, who would? His family had to eat.

After about a half hour, the supper was complete. It was just simple ramen since Loid was too tired to make anything big and fancy. He got himself a bowl and scooped a portion of the ramen in it, then took a seat on the couch to enjoy his meal. He had eaten about two strands until the door opened. "Loid! You're home!" "Papa!" Loid put on a smile and waved, but Yor could see the tiredness in her husband's eyes. Before she could bring it up, however, she smelled the ramen that he had cooked. "Food!", cheered Anya as she dashed to the kitchen.

The two females brought their food to the living room and joined Loid in eating it.

"Where were you two?", asked the man. "Me and Anya just went shopping. Traffic was a little rough, so that's why we're home so late." Loid hummed in response, making his wife look at him. She could see the tired look on his face. "How was your day, Loid?", she asked. "Good", he simply responded.

And there it was. All the evidence Yor needed. His short response mixed with the tone of his voice and the expression on his face proved that he was indeed tired. Yor decided that her husband needed a break. Whatever task he had to do tonight, she would do instead. But first, the bowl of ramen in her hands needed to be eaten first. Little did she know her decision to help Loid wouldn't come to light, as after she finished her supper, tiredness took her over as well.

The woman let out a yawn, closed her eyes, and drifted off to sleep. Loid groaned. He took the bowls him and his family ate out of and walked over to the kitchen. Once the dishes were in the sink, he returned to his sleeping wife and picked her up bridal style. Anya looked up at her parents and laughed mischievously. "Mommy is a real princess." Loid didn't respond. He was too tired to do so. He carried Yor to their bedroom, gently laying her down on the bed and covering her with the blanket. He walked to the spot beside her and dropped down, not caring that he had clothes on. The man was tired, so that's that.

. . .

Yor slowly began to wake up and see that she was in a completely different setting.

The memories from the night before raced through her mind. "Loid!" The said man shot up from the bed, looking around the room frantically. "What's happening?!" Loid looked to the side to see his wife with a guilty expression on her face. "Yor? What's wrong?" "I broke my promise!" "Promise? What promise?" "I saw that you were tired last night, so I told myself I'd let you take a break while I did everything! But then I fell asleep before I could! Now you had to do everything!"

Loid sighed and pulled Yor into a hug. "Look, it's okay." "No it's not. I feel awful that you have to work so hard after me and Anya make you so tired." "Don't say that. Don't ever say that", said Loid. He pulled out of the hug to look Yor in the eyes.

"There is nothing in this world that could make me tired of you or Anya. You're my family, and I am happy with you no matter what. I'd jump in front of a train for you even if I was tired." Yor felt her heart skip a beat. "Do you mean that?" "Yes. With every fiber of my being." A big smile crept onto Yor's face. She hugged her husband tightly and felt him place a kiss on her head. "But my offer still stands", she said. "You are going to rest, and I'll take care of things, yes?" "Yes, ma'am." The woman placed a kiss on her husband's lips. "Good. Then starting now, I'm going to go make you breakfast." "Yummy", said Loid as he rested back into bed and watched his wife leave the room. The door opened again, and Anya ran in. "Papa, what did you do to Mama?" "What do you mean?" "Why was she smiling? What did you do to make her so happy?"

Loid chuckled. "The same thing I do every day: being her husband, and being your father." Anya puffed her cheeks. "What does that mean?!" Lood chuckled again and gave his daughter a hug. "Exactly what it sounds like." The little girl tried to read her father's mind, but couldn't find anything. She pulled out of the hug and ran to the kitchen.

"Mama! Papa is acting funny!"
