Talent swap AU.
"Um, Maki? Where are we going?" Maki Harukawa, the ultimate inventor, was currently dragging her boyfriend, Kaito, the ultimate robot, into her workshop. "I just need to make a few adjustments", young female said with her usual serious expression.
Kaito was lead to a table, which he lied down on.
His eyes then went wide as he saw his chest plate being opened up. "M-Maki?!"
"I told you. I need to make adjustments." "But you do realize that you're basically looking through my organs!" "And?"
Kaito gave up on talking. Once Maki has made up her mind, there is absolutely no way to change it. He then yelped once he felt her hand fidget with a certain part in his body. This part could be considered the robot equivalent of a human kidney.
"MAKI!"
Outside the workshop, Shuichi walked by. He heard the screaming that was coming from behind the door, and slowly backed up, before full on running for his life.
"A-are you done?", asked Kaito with a weak voice. "Not yet", said Maki. Suddenly, much to the robot's horror, Maki removed his arm. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" "What did I tell you this was?" Kaito groaned. "Adjustments." "Exactly. And don't worry. Your arms will be quicker." "Arms? Arms?! As in plural?!" After a quick rewiring, Maki reattached the arm, then moved on to the other one. Kaito wanted to faint so badly, but, as if the universe was punishing him, he wasn't able to.
"How far are we?", he asked with a mortified expression. "Almost. Just need to finish up with the legs." Upon hearing this, Kaito finally fainted. Maki rolled her eyes. "Idiot."

Kaito's eyes slowly opened, meeting a bright light shine in them. He looked around and noticed his position was different from earlier, as he was on a beanbag and not a table. There was a weight on his body, courtesy of Maki resting against him.
"Maki?" The inventor woke up, looking her boyfriend in the eyes. "I finished. But you were unconscious, so I put you here."
"And snuggled up against me?" Maki looked away and blushed. "I thought it would've been rude to leave you here alone."
"You're cute, you know that?" Maki looked at Kaito's face, and leaned in to kiss him. "Your adjustments should last about a three months. After that, I'm going to have to work on them again."
"Wait, again?"
Maki stood up and walked away. "Maki? Maki, don't leave me without answering! Maki!"
