Bet none of you saw this coming.
Hajime carried a few bags of food and put them in the car, while all of his wives were bringing their share of supplies, as well as their children.
"I wanna sit with Papa", said Myu. "If that's what you want, sweetie", said Remia. The two mermaids climbed into the front seat, where Yue was also sitting with her year old son, Lambert, on her lap. The rest of the harem made their way to the back.
Kaori looked at Shizuku. "Did you tell him?", she asked her co-wife. "N-no." Kaori pouted. "You can't hide it forever, you know. One day, he's going to catch you experiencing one of your symptoms, and you will have no choice but to explain." "I know. It's just... scary."
Kaori put a hand on Shizuku's shoulder. "I thought the same thing. But then she came along", she said, gesturing toward her infant daughter. "And you're obviously not going to be alone. All of us will be here to help you."
Shizuku sighed. "You're right. Thanks, Kaori."
"Aiko", Hajime called, feeling his hair being pulled by his son. "Come here you", said Aiko, pulling the baby that was also hers away. Hajime chuckled.
"Can someone help me?", asked Shea, who's ears were being tugged by her twins. Three of Tio's children joined while the remaining two stayed with their mother.
"Kids... pull harder", said Yue. "Hey!", exclaimed Shea. "They're children. One year olds, in fact", said Liliana. "I doubt they will listen if you tell them to stop."
Hajime smiled. Wherever he went with his wives, things would always be entertaining. He couldn't have asked for a better life. He felt something hold his side, the source being Lambert. The white haired man smiled at his son. Yue took her son back. "Let's not bother daddy while he's driving", she said. "He wasn't causing too much trouble, Yue." "I know, but still." Hajime shrugged. He then chuckled a bit when he saw Myu making funny faces at Lambert. Yue and Remia smiled at the sight as well.
"So, have you you told our dear old husband the big secret?", Liliana asked Shizuku. "Not yet, I'm afraid", said Kaori. "Oh dear", sighed the blonde. "Now isn't the right time", said Shizuku. "We're in a car, for crying out loud."
"What isn't a right time?", asked Hajime. "Nothing!", exclaimed Shizuku. Everyone, except for Kaori and Liliana, looked at her surprised. "Alright then", said Hajime, focusing back on the road.

The family made a pit stop, mainly to fill up on gas.
Everyone got out to stretch their legs and probably buy more snacks for the road.
Shizuku was about to walk off, but was stopped by Hajime. "So, what's wrong?" "U-um, I don't know what you..."
The sound of someone's throat being cleared was made, the source being Kaori who was standing next to Liliana.
Shizuku could no longer make excuses. "F-fine. Hajime..." The said the man waited for what his wife had to say.
"I'm pregnant."
Hajime's eye widened, then he smiled. "That's what you've been hiding? Here I was expecting it something to be bad." He walked over to the young woman. "Shizuku, I don't understand why you had to be so scared. Everyone else has had my kids, what's wrong with you doing the same. Unless... is it my kid?"
"Dummy! Of course it is!", exclaimed Shizuku. Hajime chuckled and hugged his wife. "I can't wait to be dad." "Again?" "Hey, I get to have kids with all my wives. I don't know about you, but to me that sounds like I'm living the dream. So yeah, I'm excited to be a dad to another kid."
Shizuku smiled at this, and received a kiss from her husband, surprising her at first before she fully melted in.
"Hey! I want one too!" Kaori dashed over to her husband and co-wife, giving the former a kiss as well, which he gladly accepted. The same went for Liliana.
"What's going on here?", asked Aiko. The others came out as well. "We're getting another family member", answered Hajime, rubbing Shizuku's stomach. They all gasped, and ran towards their fellow wife, congratulating her on finally getting to be a mother like the rest of them.
"Wait, if she's pregnant now... Hajime, did you two leave us out of something?", asked Tio. "That's not important. What's important is that Shizuku will get to feel the joy we do", said Remia. "And don't worry, we'll all be here to help you", said Shea. "Thanks, everyone", said Shizuku. "So I'm getting another baby brother?", asked Myu. "Yes", said Yue. "Technically, we don't know the gender, so it could maybe be a girl", said Aiko.
"Well, whichever it is, let's just remember to take good care of them", said Kaori, while her daughter raised her arm almost as if she were chanting.
"Okay, do we have all we want and need?", asked Hajime. Everyone nodded. "Then let's get back on the road."
Everyone climbed in, but Shizuku was stopped. "You must sit at the front, since you're pregnant", said Yue. "I don't think it's important where I sit", said Shizuku. "But it could be bad for the baby to sit back here", said Tio. "Girls, Shizuku can sit where she wants", said Hajime.
The women gave up, finding their husband's suggestion reasonable. Shizuku ended up sitting at the front, anyway.
The family were back on the road. "Hajime, when this is over, you need to make it up to us", said Shea. "For what?" "For having a night with Shizuku all to yourself!" "Yeah! She's right!", said Kaori. The rest of the harem agreed as well.
Hajime laughed awkwardly. He was definitely not getting any sleep tonight.
