My first triad ship.
Saya watched from behind the counter as Kokonotsu and Hotaru were acting like a couple. Well, they were one. The golden haired girl couldn't help but feel hurt. It was obvious that she had a longtime crush on Kokonotsu, but she recently discovered something about herself: she also had feelings for Hotaru. Deep down, Saya thought that if things didn't work out with Kokonotsu, she might have a shot with the purple haired candy fanatic. But, that no longer was the case, as both her crushes were dating now.
The couple she was watching looked at her, forcing her to avert her gaze. She glanced a bit to see them talking secretively, and looking at her again.
"Are they talking about me?"
She began to feel nervous, millions of thoughts floating around her mind as she wondered what it is her two friends were speaking of, especially whatever they had to say about her. "Wait, did they notice me staring? Do they think I'm a creep? Yeah, that must be it!"
Kokonotsu and Hotaru stood up and payed for their meal, then made their way out the door. Saya felt a little relieved, as her anxiety dissipated.

"So, we're really doing this", said Kokonotsu. "You nervous?", asked his girlfriend. "Obviously. We're about to do something you don't exactly do every day." Hotaru held her boyfriend's arm. "Come on, Kokonotsu, the worst she can do is say no." "Or never talk to us again."
The girl sighed. "If I give you a kiss, will you calm down then?" Kokonotsu blushed, but nodded. Hotaru leaned in and kissed him deeply. "Alright. Let's go."
They walked up to the house and knocked on the door, which opened to reveal its resident: Saya.
"Hotaru? Kokonotsu?" "Hello, Saya. Mind if we come in?" "Um, sure." Saya stood aside and let her friends in.
"So, can I get you guys anything, or..." "You're pretty nervous right now, so let's cut to the chase."
Hotaru sat down on the couch and patted the spot next to her. "Kokonotsu, come here." "R-right."
The couple were now sitting next to each other, while Saya looked at them in confusion.
"Saya, our sweet Saya, do you think we wouldn't notice?" "N-notice?" "Well, technically I did most of the noticing, since Kokonotsu was a bit dense, you see." "Hey!", exclaimed the aforementioned boy. His girlfriend kissed his cheek. "Still love you, though. Anyway..." Hotaru turned her attention back to Saya. "You have a crush on Kokonotsu."
The blonde froze, and saw Kokonotsu blush, but wasn't shaken. Most likely Hotaru already told him of this. "And you like me too. Am I wrong?"
Saya looked down to the ground in guilt. "Don't feel bad. I like you too. In the same way", said Hotaru. "And... I started liking you too", said Kokonotsu.
Saya's eyes were wide. The two people she had feelings for had reciprocated them.
"Well, me and Kokonotsu have been talking, and we agreed that it would be fun to spice up our love life. We want to start a triad relationship." Saya's jaw dropped. "Triad? As in... three people? Three people dating each other?" "That's what a triad is, yes."
Saya looked at her two love interests, both of them smiling at her.
"So what do you say, Saya?", asked Kokonotsu. "Will you be our girlfriend?", asked Hotaru.
Saya was speechless, and slowly grew a smile on her face. If she were in a triad relationship with these two, then she would be dating both of her crushes. She couldn't believe this was real, but gave her answer nonetheless.
"Yes!"
Saya lunged at her two new lovers and hugged them tight. "Just to make it official...", said Hotaru, kissing the blonde girl on the lips. "Now for you", she said to Kokonotsu, kissing him on the lips. "Now you two have to kiss."
Saya looked at her new male lover, and kissed him. After separating, they looked at each other in surprise. "Now we're officially a throuple!", cheered Hotaru, who hugged her two lovers.
This was the start of a unique love story.
