Kyoko walked through the alleyway, checking her surroundings just to be safe. As she continued to walk forward, she didn't notice the strange figure that emerged from the shadows and snuck up to her.
The lavender haired female felt a pair of hands wrap around her, and saw the glint of pointy fangs and the glow of blood red eyes. A normal person would freeze in fear, but not Kyoko. Instead, she smiled, as she knew exactly who this stranger was.
"Hi, Makoto."
The said man giggled, hugging the girl from behind. She turned around and returned the hug.
Kyoko's life isn't the best. She has very few friends, and her father barely pays attention to her. Makoto was the only best part of her life, regardless of his nature. See, Makoto was a vampire. Kyoko found him in an alleyway one day, and was the first of person to act friendly towards him. Since then, the two have become the closest friends, even meeting some of Makoto's other vampire friends, who didn't seem to mind that she was a human at all. In fact, they don't drink human blood at all, only blood from small rodents they come across. It doesn't satisfy them fully, but it's better than to kill a human being.Makoto began talking, telling Kyoko of his day. She listened with her full attention. His voice was always beautiful to her. The truth was, she was in love with him. "Kyoko? You're head seems to be in the clouds. What's up?" The young female hid her face, realizing that she would have to get her big secret off of her chest. "Hey, you can tell me anything. We're... best friends, aren't we?" Kyoko couldn't help but notice that when he said "best friends", he seemed reluctant to say it, but she payed no mind to it. Instead, she sat up straight.
"Makoto... I want to be a vampire."
"Wait, what?" "I want to be a vampire." Makoto was speechless. "But... Kyoko... why?" "You've seen my life, Makoto. My father neglects me, my mother is gone, and my grandfather puts too much pressure on me. The only thing that kept me was you."
Makoto couldn't help but blush when hearing the last part. "Not just that, but when I met you and your friends, I felt like I found a real family. Which is why I want to stay with you forever. If I'm a vampire, that can be possible."
Makoto took Kyoko's hand. "Is this really what you want? Because once you turn, there's no coming back." "I do. Because as long as I have you, I don't care what I go through." Kyoko blushed, realizing what she just said. Makoto did too, but made a facial expression that said he wanted the girl in front of him to explain.
"You see... I like you. I never thought I would find love, let alone be loved, until I met you. So I would really appreciate it if we could... be more than just friends." Kyoko looked at the vampire, freaking out a bit on the inside when she saw him look away. She looked to the ground with a saddened expression, but had her head turned gently by a cold hand. Makoto leaned in and kissed her, catching her off guard first, until she melted into it."Biting you would be an honor, Kyoko. I would love nothing more than to be with you for eternity." Kyoko smiled, then pushed her hair back and tilting her head aside. Makoto took a deep breath, and sunk his teeth into her neck. Kyoko winced from the pain. She felt her body temperature drop, and her heart beat beginning to fade, before falling unconscious.
After about five seconds, she woke up, and the first thing she saw was Makoto's face.
"Did it work?" "Yep! You are now officially a vampire!" Kyoko smiled, and kissed her new boyfriend deeply. "Shall we go home? My new home?" Makoto took her hand and lifted her up. "We shall."Both vampires walked into the darkness, happy to be spending their eternity with each other.
