Ryuuji stretched his fingers, having just written his last letter. "Now to just wrap these babies up", he said. He took each letter he had wrote and put them in red envelopes, then he wrapped bows around each of the said envelopes. He looked out his window to the next door house that was home to his girlfriend Taiga, who was obviously asleep by now.
"Guess I need to tuck in, too", said Ryuuji. He walked over to his bed and crawled under the sheets. He closed his eyes, falling fast asleep, excited for what tomorrow would bring.
. . .
"Ryuuji!", exclaimed Taiga, running at her boyfriend and jumping into a hug, nearly knocking him over.
"Hey Taiga. Happy Valentines Day." Taiga smiled and stood on her toes to receive a kiss, which Ryuuji was more than happy to give. "So, do I get a gift?" "Yep! Right here." Taiga took out a box in the shape of a heart. "It's... probably cliché, but..."
Ryuuji took the box nonetheless. He opened it and found small chocolates. "You shouldn't have."He unwrapped one and ate it. "So where's my gift?", asked Taiga while she tilted her head to the side. "It's a surprise", winked Ryuuji. His girlfriend pouted. She hated surprises. But on the other hand, if it's a surprise, then it is obviously something big.
"Well, time to get to class", said Ryuuji, offering out his hand. Taiga took it, and together they made their way to their classroom.
. . .
Taiga spotted on her desk six envelopes, each with a number written on them to indicate which order they should be opened.
She opened the first one, and read the card, which had a picture of a puzzle piece stuck to it. "We just fit", the card read. Taiga chuckled, and opened the next card, which had a picture of an avocado. "Let's avo-cuddle", it said. Taiga giggled while cringing at the cheesy love letter. She came to the third one, which really made her laugh.
"I donut want to glaze over the fact that I love you a hole bunch", the letter said, with a picture of a donut.
From across the classroom, Ryuuji watched his girlfriend receive his gift, smiling every time be saw her smile, and having his heart beat fast when hearing her laugh.
Taiga came to the last letter, which wasn't a cheesy pun this time. Instead, it was something more heartwarming."I love you, and I am not going anywhere."
Taiga looked at Ryuuji, who smiled at her. She walked over to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I love you, you dork." The young man hugged her. "Love you more."
