"And that concludes today's lesson", said Yoko to her classroom after hearing the school bell chime. One by one she greeted the children as they left, and once all of them were gone, she picked up her supplies to pack them up. It was when she picked up the book she was reading from in her lesson that her back was pressed against something.
"Hey, Beautiful." Yoko shuffled from the breath that tickled her ear, and looked to her side to see a dark blue haired man's head resting on her shoulder. "Hey, Handsome." She kissed his cheek, then looked back at her book. "What's all that?", asked Kamina. "It's maths." "What, like numbers and stuff?"
"There's more to math than just numbers, Kamina."
Kamina looked at his girlfriend. "I'll believe it when I see it." Yoko rolled her eyes and put the book away."So?" "So?" "Why the surprise visit?" Kamina hugged his lover again. "Can't I come see my girlfriend?" "But the day is over. I was literally about to go home. I would've seen you then."
Kamina groaned. "I couldn't wait much longer!" "You're such a baby."Yoko was about to pick up her bag, then felt Kamina take it from her. "Allow me." "You don't have to." "But I want to. It's the manly thing to do."
Kamina offered his arm, which Yoko held. As they walked out the classroom, the children stared at them. "Ms Yoko, who's he?", asked a boy. "This? Oh, this is my boyfriend." The boys all gagged, but girls all made an 'awww'. "Are you gonna get married?", asked a girl. Yoko froze at this. "Oh, I hope so. Any guy would be lucky to marry her", said Kamina, making his girlfriend blush and her heart beat rapidly fast. "Damn him and his honesty", she thought. After answering more embarrassing questions from the children, the couple finally made it out of the school. Yoko looked around, and didn't spot Kamina's car anywhere. "Um, Kamina, how exactly did you get here?" "Subway. It would be a waste to have both our cars here. I want to drive with you."
They walked over to Yoko's car and climbed in. As they began to drive, she noticed Kamina become excited. "Something wrong?" "Nope! Not in the slightest."Yoko thought back to their talk with the kids. "Hey, what you said earlier. About us... getting married. Did you mean all of that?"
Kamina smiled. "Have I ever been dishonest?" Yoko chuckled. "I guess not."The car stopped by the apartment building where Yoko and Kamina lived. The walked up the stairs, with the young man still excited. "Okay, I give up. What's with you being all giddy?" "You'll see."
Yoko was now confused more than ever. As she took out the keys to her and Kamina's shared apartment, the said man leaned against the wall the moment the door opened. Yoko's bag fell out of her hand, as she stared in shock at her home. There were lots of beautiful flowers in the room, releasing a sweet aroma in the air.
But the main exhibit that caught the woman's attention was the banner with a caption on it that was hung up.
The caption said: Will You Marry Me?Yoko turned around, seeing Kamina on his knees with a tiny black box in his hands displaying a gorgeous diamond ring.
The redheaded woman tried her best to hold back the tears that threatened to leave her eyes. "Isn't their like a speech you should be saying?", she said.
"I'm sorry Yoko, but I have no speech, because no words can describe how much I love you, and how much I want to stay with you. So what do you say?"
A tear leaked down Yoko's face. "How can I say no to that?"Kamina slipped the ring on his new fiancée's finger. "I'm getting married", she said softly. "Yeah. You are", said Kamina. "I'm getting married!", Yoko squealed, fanning her face that was currently streaming with tears. Her fiancé hugged her and kissed her deeply. "I said so, didn't I? Any guy would be lucky to marry you. And that guy just so happened to be me." "It sure did", said Yoko, kissing her lover deeply.
