'Tis the season to be jolly, and you know what that means: Christmas one shots!
Ochako straightened the leaves of a small plant she pinched in between her fingers. A small giggle was heard from beside the table, and the head of a little girl with long green hair popped out. "Hey, Izumi! What are you doing there?" "Surprising you, Mama!" Ochako giggled.
"What's that?", asked the little girl, pointing at the object in her fingers. "It's a mistletoe", said a young boy with brown hair sitting on the couch and reading a manga. "That's right. What Toshinori said." "Mama, what's a mishle toe?" "A mistletoe, sweetie. It's a small plant you hang up on Christmas."
At the sound of that, Izumi began hopping in joy. "Are we gonna hang it on the tree?" Ochako patted her daughter's head. "No, it goes on the roof, otherwise it won't work."
Now the little girl became more curious. "What does it do?" "Nothing, but if two people stand under it, they have to kiss." "Like what you and Daddy do?" "Exactly like that."
Ochako stood up from her seat. "Now how about we start decorating the tree?" "Yay!". . .
Izuku stretched his back, then continued to carry the ingredients for a Christmas feast into his home. As he opened the door, a weight was placed onto his leg. "Daddy!" "Hey, Izumi!" The greenette placed the contents he was holding on the table and crouched down to his daughter, ruffling her hair. He then noticed her mischievous grin. "Izumi, did you do something bad?" Izumi shook her head. "Then why do you look guilty?" The little girl giggled and dashed off. Izuku looked at his son, who leaned against the wall. "No, she didn't do anything bad." "Then why is she like that?" "Go ask Mom. Then it will all make sense."
Now Izuku was curious. He wished to see what his lovely wife cooked up. He looked into the living room to see his wife workin on the tree. The number one hero tiptoed over to her, and once he was in close range, his arms swung around her waist and hugged her tight.
"Back so soon?" "Toshinori tells me you have a trick up your sleeve." "Hm, maybe I do."Ochako turned around, coming face to face with Izuku. "But first, close your eyes." He did as she said. She took out the mistletoe she had in her pocket and used her quirk to make it hover above her and her lover. "Can I open them now?" "Hmmm... yes, I think you can." Izuku opened his eyes to see Ochako gesturing upwards. He glanced at the roof to see a floating mistletoe. "Now that's creative." "I know", Ochako said with pride. Izuku chuckled and leaned in close, giving the love of his life a deep, loving kiss.
The couple's children watched from afar, with Izumi giggling. "Dad is right. That is pretty creative", said Toshinori, who glanced at his hand, thinking of using his quirk the same way his mother did.
