Winter had come, and the kingdom of Fiore was under a veil of snow. The wind howled and snowflakes fell rapidly, all while the people sat in their homes enjoying the warmth.
Especially one certain couple.
A young blonde woman wearing a cozy pink sweater stood by her window, staring out at the snowstorm with a mug of hot chocolate in her hands.
The door opened and a young man walked in, sneaking up to the female and swinging his arms around her.
The woman, shocked at first, calmed down upon recognizing the person she was being hugged by. "Natsu, I could've spilled my cocoa." "Do you love that cocoa more than me, then, Lucy?"
Lucy placed her mug on a table that was nearby and turned to Natsu, wrapping her arms around his waist. "No, because unlike you, I can't kiss hot cocoa." "Like this?" Natsu pecked his girlfriend's lips. "Hmmm, a little longer."
The salmon haired dragon slayer smiled and connected his lips with Lucy's again, only they made the kiss last a little longer. "How was that?" "Just right."
Lucy took her hot chocolate and went to sit on the couch in front of the fireplace, taking a sip from her cup. Natsu joined her, moving behind her and snuggling close to her. "Natsu." "Yeah?" "Don't eat the fire." The fire mage chuckled and kissed Lucy's cheek. "No promises."
"Well excuse me for not wanting to freeze to death." Natsu pulled Lucy closer, and used his magic to warm up his body. The blonde celestial mage felt the warmth. She drank the last bit of her warm beverage, and after placing the mug down, snuggled closer to the love of her life. "Thanks."
"Anything for you, Luce."
The couple exchanged eye contact, then joined lips. Natsu bit Lucy's lip and slipped his tongue in, while she straddled his waist and held his shoulders, while her partner's arms swung around her hips.
Lucy's hands slid to the side of her boyfriend's face, which was where their little make out session came to its end. "That's one way to keep warm", joked Natsu.
The couple embraced again. "This is why I love winter", said Lucy. "Why?" "Because I get stay with you for a whole day." The dragon slayer smiled.
"Me too."
