Nami looked up at the tangerines that had grown on the tree aboard the Thousand Sunny. She took hold of one and pulled it off, and broke it open. "Yep. It's ripe." The orange haired navigator took a piece from the fruit and popped it into her mouth, enjoying the juicy flavor that exploded into her mouth. Her little moment was then interrupted by a cheeky laugh.
She looked up the tree to see her captain, and boyfriend, sitting in the tree. "Luffy, what are you doing there?" Luffy looked away, as if trying not to look suspicious. "Luffy, were you trying to eat my tangerines?" "Noooo", said the pirate captain.
Nami sighed and sat down on the ground. She patted the spot in front of her, gesturing for her idiot captain to sit in front of her. Luffy happily hopped down the tree and dashed over to his girlfriend.
She took a tangerine slice and held it out for him. He leaned forward and took the piece of fruit with his mouth.
Nami smiled and fed her captain another tangerine.
"You know Luffy, you don't have to be so greedy. If you wanted a tangerine, you could've just asked me."
"But then you would've said no." "You don't know that. That's why you ask." Luffy pouted. "I guess." Nami chuckled and offered another tangerine. After Luffy ate it, he noticed that his navigator was sitting in the sun while he was under the tree's shade.
He removed his hat and put it on her head. "What's this for?" "Don't want you to get sunburn."
Nami slowly shook her head with a smile. "You're too sweet, you know that?"
Luffy gave his signature smile. Nami took a tangerine slice for herself, putting it in her mouth. Suddenly, Luffy leaned in and kissed her, taking the slice into his mouth. The orange haired girl grumbled. "Just for that, you're not getting the rest."
Luffy froze in fear upon hearing this. "I'm sorry! Please don't..." "Too late." Nami finished the tangerine, much to the disappointment of her lover. "Can I make it up to you?" "You could..." The navigator tried to think of something. "By feeding me." Luffy stretched his arm up to the tree, plucking another tangerine off.
He broke it open and began feeding his girlfriend, like she did to him. Eventually, there was only one slice left.
"You know what, you can have it." "Really?" "Yeah. Go ahead." Luffy popped the tangerine slice in his mouth, then suddenly felt Nami kiss him, taking the piece of fruit out. "Now we're even", she said. Luffy only laughed, with the orange haired girl joining in.
