In a hospital room, lying on the bed, was a lavender haired woman by the name of Shinoa Hyakuya, formerly Shinoa Hiiragi. Her eyes were shut, her face was red, and het forehead was coated with sweat.
"Just hang in there, ma'am", said the doctor. "Come on, Shinoa. You can do it", said Shinoa's husband, Yuuichiro, or simply, just Yuu.
He held onto her hand, enduring the pain it was receiving from the woman's grip. She gave one last push, and screamed loudly. After that, a shrill cry of an infant was heard. "That's one. Now for the other."
"It's almost over, Shinoa", said Yuu, placing a kiss on his wife's knuckles.Shinoa repeated the same process she did earlier, using all the strength in her body to bring her child into the world. After about five minutes, another baby came out of the woman, meaning that Shinoa had finished giving birth to her children.
"Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Hyakuya", spoke the doctor. "You are now the parents of two twin daughters." The couple looked at each other and shared light laughter. "You did it", whispered Yuu, absolutely proud of his wife. The doctors left the room to perform the usual procedures on the infants before they could be given to their parents. This gave the two Hyakuyas a moment to themselves.
"We did it, Yuu. We have kids." "Yeah! We're parents!", Yuu said excitedly, before his face changed into one of shock. He looked to the ground. "We're parents. I'm... I'm a dad."
Shinoa smiled at him. "I almost can't believe it either. But it's scary, to be honest. I mean, what if I screw up?" Yuu took his lover's hand again. "That won't ever happen, because you aren't alone. You have me."The doors opened, and the doctors walked in, carrying the Hyakuya couple's newborn daughters. They handed them over to Shinoa, who looked at the faces of her children. Once they opened their eyes and looked at their mother, she couldn't hold back to tears of happiness that were coming out of her eyes.
The same was said for Yuu. He wiggled his finger in front of the one baby, who reached out her arms and grabbed it.Meanwhile, outside the room, the friends of Yuu and Shinoa waited. "I can't wait anymore! I want to see them!", growled Mitsuba. As if on cue, Yuu walked through the door. "Well?", asked Kimizuki.
The black haired man chuckled. "Apparently I'm a dad now."Mikaela walked to his brother and gave him a hug while laughing. "Do you want to come see them?", asked Yuu, after he was put down. Mitsuba pushed passed everyone to get into the room first. "I'll take that as a yes."
Once everyone entered the room, their attention fell onto the two bundles of joy in Shinoa's arms. "They're so cute!", exclaimed Mitsuba. "Not bad, Yuu. You're ugly mug actually managed to make two adorable babies", said Kimizuki. Yuu glared at him.
Mikaela looked at the two girls. "You're an uncle now", said Shinoa. Mikaela stroked his finger over the one infant's cheek. "I guess I am, huh?"
"Looks like you won't have any trouble telling which twin is which", said Yoichi. And he was right.
The one baby had black hair, while the other one had lavender hair."Have you two decided on any names? Because I am not gonna spend the rest of my life calling them 'the babies' or whatever", said Kimizuki.
Shinoa looked at the lavender haired baby. "I want to call this one Hayami." She then turned her attention to the black haired baby. "And this one Saori." Yuu gently embraced his wife. "Those names are beautiful."Shinoa looked back down at her daughters. "Welcome to the family, Saori and Hayami Hyakuya."
. . .
Yuu cradled Hayami in his arms, smiling throughout the whole moment. "So here you were", said Shinoa, who had Saori in her arms. "Yeah. Sorry." "Don't be. It's not a bad thing."
The parents tucked in their little angels, having a moment to stare at their peaceful faces. "You know they might wake us up tonight. That usually happens", said Shinoa. Yuu hugged her from behind. "We knew what we were signing up for."
He picked up his wife bridal style and carried her to the bedroom. "Let's get in enough sleep before those two wake us up." "I couldn't agree more."
