Maou woke up, stretching his arms. He looked to his side to see the bed was empty. But that didn't bring him down, as he received a satisfying smell coming from the kitchen. "Well, what's this now?" The demon lord stood up, then noticed a calendar on the wall. "Valentines Day? Oh right. That is today, isn't it?" Maou walked over to his bedside and opened the drawer. "Luckily I came well prepared." He took out a small box that had a necklace inside of it.

Maou left the room and made his way to the kitchen, where he saw the love of his life standing by the stove, wearing an apron, and holding a spatula. He tiptoed towards her, stretching out his arms and hugging the woman close. "Morning Emi."
Emi smiled. "Morning." She turned a bit and gave her lover a deep kiss. "Happy Valentines Day", Maou whispered in her ear. He then noticed the heart shaped pancakes that were being cooked in the pan. "How romantic." "Thought I could make something poetic, seeing as this is the day of love." Maou licked his lips. "Well, they do look delicious." Emi pointed the spatula at him. "We eat when it's finished."
The demon lord raised his hands in surrender. "So, don't I get a gift on this day?", asked the female hero. Maou wagged his finger side to side. "Nah ah. If I can't get my gift yet, you can't get yours yet." Emi puffed her cheeks and groaned. "Hey, it's a fair trade, sweetheart." The young woman rolled her eyes, and continued to make breakfast.

"Breakfast is served", Emi said with a look of triumph on her face. Maou looked down at the heart shaped pancakes. "Looks delicious." "That's not the same as actually eating it, Sadao."
Maou took his fork and knife and took a piece of the pancake, inserting it into his mouth. He hummed in satisfaction as he chewed the pancake. "Well?", asked Emi, a look of anticipation written all over her face. This was actually her first time making pancakes. "Emi, you don't need to worry. This is pancake is amazing."
The female hero sighed in relief. "Now that I received my gift, I think it would be now appropriate to give you yours." Maou stood up and walked to the bedroom, while Emi waited in excitement. Her lover returned after a few seconds with the box behind his back. He revealed it, and took out the necklace. Emi clasped her hands over her mouth. "Only the best for you", said Maou. He helped put it around his lover's neck, watching her marvel at its beauty afterwards.
She looked at her boyfriend and jumped at him, giving him the biggest kiss imaginable.
