Aizawa peeked through the door, seeing his wife still fast asleep. He tiptoed into the room, with a tray full of breakfast in his hands. The meal consisted of toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon. You know, the usual. Aizawa looked at the clock and counted down the time for when Emi would wake up. He has been married to her long enough to know how she works.
Once the countdown on Aizawa's mental timer was complete, Emi's eyelids began to lift up, and reveal her eyes. She looked to her side to see her husband standing before her with a delicious breakfast.

"Morning", he greeted with a smile, then put the tray down on Emi's lap. "What's all this for?" Aizawa sat down on the bed and kissed her cheek. "Happy birthday." The teal haired woman blushed and hid her face in her hands. "Now are you going to eat your breakfast, or what?" "Oh? Excited to see what I think of it?" "That, and I know of two little kids who might be really excited to come wish their mom a happy birthday." Emi giggled at the thought of her kids barging in through the door and doing exactly what Aizawa described.

She picked up the knife and fork, then dug into her food. Once the flavor spread through her mouth, she gushed at it. "So good!", she exclaimed. "Glad you like it", said Aizawa. "Like it? I love it!" Emi gobbled down the rest of her breakfast, but not too fast, as she wanted to savor the taste of the meal her husband made just for her. Once she was done, she fell back onto the bed and rubbed her belly. "Delicious." Aizawa smiled. "Glad you think so." He picked up the tray and walked over to the door, then heard the sound of feet running down the hall.
"Better prepare yourself, Emi, because guess what."

The door swung open, and two children dashed in. "MOMMY!" They jumped onto the bed and hugged their mother, which she returned without any hesitation. "Eri! Hanzo!", exclaimed Emi, giving her two kids kisses on their heads. "Kids, what do we say to Mommy?", asked Aizawa. Eri and Hanzo looked at their mother and hugged her again. "Happy birthday!" "Awww! Thanks you two!" Emi hugged her two little angels tightly. Aizawa walked out the door to put away the tray he was holding, and bumped into a certain young, purple haired man.

"Breakfast in bed?", asked Shinsou, who looked down at the tray. "Yep", replied Aizawa. "Wow. That's the most cliché thing to do for someone's birthday." "But it's the thought that counts." "True."
Shinsou walked past his adoptive father to the bedroom. Once he was in, he sat down on the bed. "Happy birthday." "Thanks, Hitoshi!", Emi said, ruffling up his hair. "Are you going to make Mommy a cake?", asked Eri. Shinsou smirked and ruffled his adopted sister's hair. "You bet." "Cake!", cheered Hanzo. "Yes! Cake!", Emi cheered.

"So I take it I need to go buy some ingredients then?", asked Aizawa, who had just returned. "Why are you looking at me like that? Can't you cake your eyes off of me?"
Eri and Hanzo laughed at their mother's pun, while Aizawa and Shinsou laughed lightly. "Jokes aside, yes. You are going to have to bake a good cake for me, Shouta." "Since when are you a food critic?" "Since never! Just make me a cake!"
Aizawa looked over at Shinsou. "You going to help?"
"Yep."

The two men walked out of the room, but not before Aizawa delivered one last message. "Eri, Hanzo, why don't you give Mommy a birthday tickle?" The two kids giggled and began to wriggle their fingers to attempt tickling their mother. "Oh, so that's how you want to play?", Emi asked with a smug grin. She lifted her hands, then brought them down on her kids, tickling them until they screamed with laughter.

Aizawa walked away with a smile on his face.

. . .

Emi stared on in excitement at the small cake being brought to her by her husband while her whole family sat around her. Once the cake was placed down before her, Emi listened to how Eri and Hanzo cheered for her. She looked at the candle that was on her cake, then shut her eyes, and blew out the flame.
"Alright. Time to dig in", said Aizawa, taking out the candle. "Finally. This cake looks delicious", said Emi who licked her lips.

"Remember to share. It may be your birthday, but that's no excuse to be greedy", said Shinsou. "Hey, I'm the parent here", grumbled Emi. Aizawa brought a knife and began cutting the cake into slices, then were shared among the family members.

Aizawa took a seat beside his wife. "So, what did you wish for?" "If I told you, it won't come true." "Come on, you can tell me." Emi rolled her eyes. "Fine. But hear me out, I couldn't think of a good wish because... I have everything I need right here", she said, gesturing to her family. Aizawa smiled and kissed his lover's cheek. "Then what did you wish for?" Emi rested her head against her husband's shoulder.

"That we can always be happy like this."
