The former Takagi opened the door, letting her little daughter run into the house. "Daddy, we're home!" "Hi, Chi", Nishikata said in a strained voice. His wife looked around and didn't see him around anywhere. He noticed, and called her from the floor.
"Push-ups? When was the last time you did one of those?", the former Takagi asked. "Yesterday. You just didn't notice", Nishikata replied. "You're so strong, Daddy!", Chi said, admiring her father, who chuckled at her comment. His wife grinned smugly. She put the groceries she had brought in down and crouched down to her lover. "You are strong. But how much? Maybe if you took your shirt off..." "Honey, our daughter is here." The brunette woman pouted, then had her smug grin return. She stood up and walked a few steps before sitting down on her husband's back. "W-what are you doing?!" "Giving you a challenge. That's what you like, isn't it? Challenges?" Nishikata smirked. He was going to show her.
He began pushing himself up faster, much to the former Takagi's enjoyment. Chi saw what her mother was doing and crawled onto her father's legs, holding onto it while laughing. The former Takagi couldn't help but laugh along as well.
Hearing the joy in his wife and daughter's laughter was enough to bring a smile to Nishikata's face. He kept on doing his workout. He went completely low, then pushed himself up into the air, clapping his hands before the landed back on the floor. "You've got tricks, hm?", asked the man's wife. He looked over his shoulder with a smirk.
"Well, it was pretty fun. Chi, come here quickly", said the former Takagi. She picked up her daughter and held her close. "Now do it again, Dear." Nishikata happily obliged, hopping into the air and clapping his hands. Chi let out a giggle. "Again, Daddy!" The little girl's father did as she said, and did it in repeat. The two females that were sitting on his back laughed from the fun they were having. Nishikata hopped up again, making his family tip over and fall off of him. They rested on the floor and laughed hysterically.
Nishikata ceased his push-ups and rolled over to his wife and daughter, pulling them into a strong hug. "See how strong I am now?" Chi laughed and nodded. "Yep. Now you're really strong", said the former Takagi, rubbing her husband's bicep and placing a kiss on his cheek.
. . .
The former Takagi buttoned up her pajama shirt, then looked over the bed to see her husband doing another set of push-ups.
"You love your push-ups, don't you?" Nishikata chuckled. "Would you say you love them more than me?" "Don't count on it", said Nishikata. His wife waltzed over to him, then rested on his back. "Now that Chi's asleep, I get to have this little moment to himself."
Nishikata smiled and continued his push-ups, while the love of his life found comfort on his body as evidenced by her head snuggling into his neck while her arms draped over his chest.
There was a moment of silence save for the grunts of Nishikata, until the former Takagi of course had to pull one of her signature teases. "You know, normally whenever you're grunting like this, you're on top of me." Nishikata looked back at his wife. "And you're the one under me crying out my name."
The former Takagi puffed her cheeks. Nishikata chuckled and rolled over, forcing a squeak out of his wife's mouth."Were you implying that should happen?" The former Takagi smiled and seductively wriggled her body. "Maybe." Nishikata slid his arms under his lover's body and lifted her up. "Well, I've worked up a bit of a stamina, so what do you think?" The former Takagi leaned in and gave her husband a deep kiss.
"As long as Chi doesn't wake up."
