Giyu walked approached the Butterfly Estate with a lotus gently resting in his hands. As he walked through the entrance, he was met with a swarm of butterflies fluttering in the air. There were so many, and they were all beautiful. But not as beautiful as the young woman who was sitting on the grass.
"Hello", Shinobu said. She turned her head to see her lover. "How did you know it was me?", asked Giyu. "I didn't. Just said hello because I felt like there was someone walking in here. It would seem I was right." Giyu smiled. "You always are."
He took a seat beside his girlfriend, where she noticed the flower he was holding in his hands. "I see you bring a gift. Is it perhaps for me?" "Who else?" Giyu handed the lotus to Shinobu, who gently held it in her hands and admired its beauty. "See the purple at the petals' tips? It reminded me of your hair, so I thought I'd get it for you", said Giyu. His lover inspected the plant closer, seeing that there was indeed purple on it. "My, how thoughtful of you."
The young man smiled, then noticed a butterfly fluttering near his face. He tried avoiding it by backing up, but to no avail as the insect landed on his nose. Shinobu giggled at her boyfriend's reaction. He waved his hand to make it go away, which it did.
But things were far from over. Another butterfly appeared, landing on Giyu's shoulder. As he looked at it, more butterflies appeared, fluttering around him and waiting for the perfect opportunity to land on him. Shinobu could no longer hold it in, and burst out into a fit of laughter, while Giyu grumbled in annoyance from the butterflies that pestered him.
"They can't help it", said Shinobu once she calmed down. "They think you're a pretty flower."
Giyu was confused. "My mother always use to tell me that if you wear very colorful clothes, the butterflies will think you are a flower. That's why they land on you." Giyu widened his eyes with fascination, then looked at the butterfly on him. "Here. Try this."
Shinobu took her lover's hand and lifted it up a bit, and lifted his pointer finger. A butterfly fluttered towards him, and landed on his finger. A smile grew on the young man's face, as well as on the woman's. She went back to sitting, and lifted her hand to let a butterfly rest on her finger as well.
"They're actually quite pretty", said Giyu. "Like me?", asked Shinobu. "No. They're pretty. You're beautiful." Shinobu giggled. "You flatter me", she said, then placed a kiss on Giyu's cheek. Just as she pulled away, a butterfly landed on her nose. "I guess he wants a kiss too", chuckled the young man. His girlfriend laughed with him.
