A figure roamed through the night, a hood shrouding his head and a scythe in his hand, dry blood stained on the blade.
The figure looked up at a house, grinning maliciously. He walked up to the building, noticing an open window, his smile widening even more. He placed his foot on the wall, hoisting himself up and into the window, seeing that he has entered the window to the living room.
In the middle of the living room was a little girl with medium blonde hair. The man chuckled, catching the attention of the little girl. The figure took off his hood, revealing a bandaged face and heterochromatic eyes.
But the little girl didn't cower in fear. Instead, she smiled and jumped up.

"Daddy!" The man jumped down from the window and opened up his arms, letting the girl run into his embrace. Another female walked into the room, also a blonde. She spotted the man and little girl, smiling as well. "Zack." The said man looked up to see the woman. "Ray!"
The man and woman walked towards each other and hugged, then shared a kiss. "I missed you." "The cops were on my tail, Ray. I couldn't just come back home immediately." "I know." Ray hugged her lover, enjoying the embrace she has longed for for some time.

Very recently, Zack had gone on another of his killing sprees, but was nearly apprehended by the authorities. As such, he had to evade them and stay away from his home in order to protect his family. His wife, and his daughter, Piper.
All of this lasted for three days.

Zack turned back to his little girl, and crouched down to her. "Did you take good care of mommy while I was gone?" Piper nodded. "That's my girl."
The little girl giggled as a kiss was placed onto her head. "Now, what's for lunch?" "I was busy making Mac 'n Cheese", said Ray.
"Yay! Mac 'n Cheese!", cheered Piper. Zack scooped her up and laughed with her. The family walked into the kitchen, finally reunited once again.
