The next morning for Jungwon was something he'd cherish for the rest of his life. He woke up only to receive the most love he could ever imagine. No one would understand. They'd think he was being too sensitive but only he knew how special the moment was. His baby angel told him that after all he's been through, he deserved it.
Usually, when he awoke on a morning, it was in the bed of a stranger or to parent's that refused to feed him and care for him. His body would be bruised but not today. Not this morning. Not with Jay.
Jay treated him with breakfast in bed and thereafter took him on a morning stroll to the beach. They watched the sunrise together, listening to the seagulls cry out on the rocks then flying away only to return and repeat the process.
Jay told Jungwon something even more delightful a few minutes later.
''You promised me that you'd always stay by my side. That day..I'm sorry I didn't respond the way you'd want me to. I was really surprised since it came out of nowhere- but I can't believe I'm saying this mind you- but I want you to stay with me, by me. I want your love Jungwon and I want to give you love.''
Jungwon immediately kissed Jay. The elder didn't need to explain his feelings to the boy, he knew. They knew how the other felt about them but pride and shyness was the only thing holding them back. Well, at least one kiss confirmed that.
''I promise I'll try my best to be there for you Jungwon. I'll protect you and I'll make sure you're always smiling. Even if it's the last thing I do.''
''Why..''
''Because I like you Park Jungwon.''

''Okay, so I know you're wondering why I made you dress like a king and brought you to an empty restaurant..''
''Do inform me as to why my dear husband.''
''Well,'' Jay said. ''Since our honeymoon is ending in 24 hours, I thought.. maybe I'd cook for you!''
Jungwon held back a laugh. ''You wanna do what?''
''You think I can't cook?''
''I didn't say all of that now.''
''I'll show you a bit of chef Jongseong but before that, remember on our way to Jeju, you told me you wanted to start a...bakery? So-hear me out- what if you take this place which I definitely didn't buy for you and make it into your bakery?''
Jungwon thought he was having a hallucination. Jay remembered that? No, this had to be one of his fantasies.
''Y...you don't mean that..'' Jungwon told him.
''I'm dead serious right now.''
''Jay, WHY would you do that for me?? I'm not worth it, you don't have to do this for me- even if it's a tempting offer-''
''What do you mean you're not worth it?'' Jay asked sternly. ''I don't understand why you'd think that.''
''One, this place is definitely a tourist attraction- how you got a hold of it, we'll overlook for now- two, it must cost a fortune, three, I don't even know how it'll work out anyway!''
''I TOTALLY didn't forget about that last point and bought this place on impulse whilst you were sleeping last night-''
''You know saying stuff like that means you ACTUALLY did just that right?''
''I'm casually going to ignore what you just said and talk about something else. So, do you want to open a bakery with me? Your husband?''
Jungwon thought about the horrors that awaited him at home. What the hell, he'd do anything that involve trauma.
